Where will you be spending Christmas Day?

asked and answered already you proddy cunt
Doing Irish coffee party round here after half nine mass. About four years ago we decided it was the snappers day really, so we stay at home for Christmas. Started a small Irish coffee gathering then. Has snowballed a bit and expect a hundred or so people this year.
Having one of my good hurling pals over with his wife and very new baby for the day. A skehana man, and a fine gentleman. Also expecting an ex kk hurler if he is vertical.
Family film in the afternoon then and the dinner around sixish. Expecting a couple of overseas people (an Aussie and a Singaporean) for work round for the day as well.
Hope to get warm and tipsy on the Irish coffee in the morning, and top up with good wine gently all day.
looking forward to the queens speech mate?

do you ever regret moving to the 3rd world mate?

Not a proddy

Up early to leave Santa’s boot print on fire place (combination glitter and washing powder). Over to my folks for Mass and then in laws in afternoon for dinner.

Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year. Love the excitement and anticipation and general good spirits that abound.

Sometimes. Still at least it’s not Oz.

What’s the deal with ateing carp? @balbec

Ha fucking ha.

Mrs ccha wants to try christmas in the sun some year. She will be a long time waiting as I love these few days.

Off out east the home place shortly to visit my fathers grave and call on my mother. Going to call in to an old friend living nearby there for a chat, his marriage is tatters and he is not in a good place.

We are doing dinner, as always, for inlaws tomorrow. That will be a quiet day. My oldest is doing the leaving and the coming year will see a lot of change for us as a family so we plan to do a lot together.
Going to my mothers for Stephens day.

We will have the family in leopardstown on Sunday and Monday in case anyone has a good tip to share.

It’s a Kilmallock thing.

Tradition. Probably goes back to the times of shortages. A horrible bony fish. You can buy them live from a tank in the supermarkets and take them home with you in a bag of water to kill yourself. Or else they will kill it for you, hit it over the head twice with a hammer. Two taps. Cut the head off and away you go. In the old days people would keep it at home in the bath swimming around for a couple of days. A fast day as well until the evening. Christmas Eve is to be endured really. Tomorrow is better. At least in my house. But the Poles put the big effort into Christmas Eve.

will you leave one out for the chimp pal?..

“And forgive us our Christmasses as we forgive those who Christmas against us”.

Jesus mate, PM me if things are that low.

Ah no tis grand. Am used to it at this stage. The normal Christmas Dinner is sorted for tomorrow anyway. Unseasonal warm weather, not an ounce of snow. Off for a spin now on bike for a bit of peace and quiet.

Lovely morning here on the peninsula. Cooking the ham with classics like this in the background.

Some lads take this Christmas lark very serious.

Agreed, drinking & shiteing is about all I take serious at Christmas. That and doob.

Nice little spin there. Even used the 52 chainwheel. Winning.

Just about to hit Cork City to soak up some atmosphere and buy one last present… I may sample a Murphy’s… Kev, where will you be supping Stephens day?
