Who is your favourite actor?

Banging his own step daughter Woody-stylie or banging Willis’?

Woody style I believe, I’ll do some research into this later on, but I think it might be true.

My own favourites would be Gene Hackman, Jeff Bridges, Brendan Gleeson, Helen Mirren, Christian Bale and an Irish lad called Aidan Kelly who’s animal. Also love the actor who plays frank in Shameless -David threfall, I think.

There’s another Irish guy I’ve seen in a few films like The Commitments and the Halo Effect who’s a cracking actor. Can’t remember the fucker’s name though so doubt he’s all that famous.

Robert Shaw.

Immense in both The Sting and Jaws.

-Gene Wilder, especially in Quackser Fortune has a cousin in the bronx.
-George Kennedy, especially in Thunderbolt & Lightfoot.
-Takeshi Kitano, both acting & directing

Paul Newman !!

Richard Harris, Brando, Bale…

  2. Ed Norton
  3. Moragn Freeman
  4. Jack Nicholson
  5. Brad Pitt

John Turturro?? Fook off!
Wheres that over-rated thread

Some point on what has been said:

  • Comparison of Ed Norton in American History X to De Niro in Raging Bull is very apt. It simply was one of the best peformances I have ever seen on screen. Incredible. I would put Harris’ Bull McCabe at the top of the list though.
  • Robert Carlysle is a brilliant actor. Performance in Trainspotting is immense also.
  • Di Caprio is a superb actor. His portrayal of the handicapped lad in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape is up there with Day Lewis’ Christy Brown.
  • On Day Lewis, tends to overdo it at times but his best performance for me was Bill the Butcher in Scorcese’s disappointing Gangs of New York.
  • Buscemi is another one of my favourites if only for Fargo. William H as well.
