23rd December RDS
Seen them/the Popes a few times at Christmas now. Popes gigs in the Olympia were class. Pogues in the Point were cracking but the venue was shite. Should be a hell of a lot better in the RDS.
I’m going, Juhniallio is going. I’d hazard a bet that hibernating member Humbug will be in attendance too.
I’ve to work on Christmas Eve so I’ll still be floating around Dublin before heading down to Wexico and I therefore might attend this if a formal invite from Rocko and/or Juhniallio is forthcoming.
I’ll pop it into the mail for you.

Have seen them every year for about 5 years now, don’t think I could be bothered this year. Cracking venue though, was there for Interpol last Sunday week and found it to be far superior a venue to the point.
Just booked ticket there - I’m defo in now.

Sensational gig last night. Straight into my top 3 of all time. Highlights were:
Body of an American
Thousands are Sailing
Fairytale
Rainy Night in Soho
MacGowan was in cracking form - sang brilliantly and the band were excellent as well.
I happened to be out the night of this gig and heard some very good reports about it. One of the most amazing gigs ever apparently.

I’d agree with that. Sensational gig without Lullaby of London and Broad Majestic Shannon. That says it all really.
