Who Was The Greatest Hurler You Ever Seen?

What are you basing it on? What you were told or what you saw?

Teddy had very good skills.

He was heavily involved when needed from memory. Mind you I think I only saw that game live and never again.

For the fifth time, what I saw. You’re a bit stupid sometimes.

So you disregarded the 25-30 times I saw Hartnett in the prime of his career based on 2 or 3 times you saw him in his 30’s when you were about 9/10.

Cool, glad we got to the bottom of that. It’s no wonder you are so shit at betting if that’s the type of parameters you have for judgement.

You’re an awful tulip. Saw him play plenty of times for Cork too. Again, once you form an opinion it’s pointless talking to you regardless of how wrong you might be. Such a blinkered view of things is funny to read all the same.

He had in his hole, he could solo, badly coached and root of most of his problems was the grip, somebody forgot to tell him the dominant hand goes on top. Pity because he could have been incredible

I actually don’t believe you, so stop. I don’t believe you saw very much of him at all, so just stop. You are making a fool of yourself.

Can’t remember the grip to be honest, but his pick up, flick up, deadening skills were all excellent.

You don’t rate soloing or catching by the way?

Because they are basics , why don’t you rate being able to hit the ball on both sides and not having to do an Edward scissor hand routine every time you catch the ball because its been done with the wrong hand? Seriously so you even understand what a great hurler should have ?

Fella I think you are looking for the perfect hurler. There has been a couple of “Great” centre halves play soccer with poor touch. What’s your point? There are many factors that could make someone great. Teddy was inspirational to the crowd and team mates as much as anything.

His dual success has as much to do with his status as anything.

Dumb.

Doubt Charlie played Fitzgibbon
That’s correct. If memory serves me correctly he dabbled with a career in the priesthood in his earlier years.

That said he was a super hurler, although not one of the all time greats, by any stretch of the imagination.
Yeah Christian brother or something.

Yes dumbs, we are looking for perfection here , have another sconce at the thread title will you before contributing any further . Your proposals don’t measure up, end of

No dickhead, someone specifically asked about Teddy Mac a page back. Get your head around it. Threads spin off. I listed Cork hurlers I thought were of significance. Not greatest ever, I settled that a few posts on.

Now catch up.

Who are your Clare and everyone else choices?

Keep going. I tuned out when I realised the level you are at ( soccer centre half comparison ) , dont have time

He was probably happy enough to settle for beating Australia in 92.

Yes, I’m the one making a fool of myself on this thread alright.

Teddy mccarthy was famous for being able to jump high. He wad an average hurler and football player
