In fairness the engine has lost a few horses. Still a good one though and whether or not he is still worth starting, he is worth his place on the panel.
I don’t see Dowling & Hannon playing in the same full-forward line together. I think they are both talented players, but neither are very quick or particularly dynamic. I think it’s either/or in the full-forward line, the other would have to play in the half-forward line if you want to fit them both in.
Jim-Bob is still useful, could do a job in a number of positions. But Darragh O’Donovan & Pat Ryan will really put it up to him for a starting place in midfield.
I still think Seanie O’Brien might be better in the half-back line than full.
Hannon has more headroom to improve of the two imo under the new brains trust. He’ll never be a speedster but he is nowhere near as slow as Dowling who has been absolutely glacial over the last year. Remains to be seen if a better management team can get The Dow in better shape, but I’d fear for him. Mulcahy usually starts getting written off at this stage of the year every year which I never understand, I still see him starting next year.
SOB always struck me as a good option for midfield, serious energy and pace and desire for work.

S Dowling
In AN Other … Out D Hannon (no show for Adare)
I reckon Condon is going to have a good year next year.
Ronan Lynch may be an U-21 All-Star, is he definitely a better midfielder than O’Donovan/the two Ryans?? DOD is hardly out injured for that long? I do think it’s his best position but I’m not sure he’ll make it.
