Who's getting out of Munster - Hurling 2023 - Poll

Their record at home is terrible. I don’t think it’ll do them too much harm.

By the time they play Tipp in Thurles, they’ll have had more games in Thurles than Tipp

What’s the story with him, Is he gone for year? Hardly done cruciate again, I can’t remember

They’ve a crazy deranged lunatic in charge of them. They won’t win a game.

No he is back and training away with the panel. Davy was saying he would not be ready for the early rounds of the league.

It would be madness to be putting him out on wet pitches

Waterford and Tipp were a shambles last year. Can’t see that changing

Tipp have the wristy hurlers.

I agree with the above that Waterford’s window is definitely closing but not shut yet.
What better man though than Davy to try to get the most out of them for one or two years?

They have the fulcrum of a fine team - De BĂşrca is still an elite defender, Calm Lyons is top class and Mark Fitzgerald and Iarlaith Daly are quality young backs too. Barron, if fit, is still one of the best around IMO. Up front then you have Bennett, Hutchinson, Gleeson and Kiely.
Not entirely convinced about their fullback line though.

Waterford hurlers are so overrated it’s hilarious

Not as much as Clare in fairness

Clare are better than Waterford

They are, I hadn’t looked today and see now that it’s corrected but last night Clare were in the 80% range to get out of Munster in this poll,
They might do that but the idea that they are Limericks biggest challenge is laughable to me

They did ok against us last year.

They are. Limerick didn’t beat them in 70 minutes last year, twice.

Limerick beat everyone else at their ease in Munster

There is nothing to suggest anyone has gone ahead of clare since

In the dead rubbers? I suppose they did,

A munster final is a dead rubber now is it?

Clare are Limericks biggest challenge. They have a good panal, Lohan is gettimg the most out of them and is a good manager plus TK. Clare will get out of Munster

You’d have to say it’s between Tipp, Cork and Waterford for the third spot.

You will have to bear in mind that some people blindly back the underdog in TFK polls.

On last year’s form Clare have to be respected… @backinatracksuit you were fairly dismissive of them last year also i think?
They’ve gotten players back this year and have way more depth.

The question will be what lessoned were learned? Peaking to beat Limerick in the MF shattered them - will Lohan be thinking beyond that this year…
but as said, they’ve more options open to them this year and can keep things fresher.

If the same appetite is there they’ll be a tough nut to crack… But Waterford were being tipped by everyone this time last year on the back of the previous season and fell off a cliff … easier said than done to keep the hunger and buy in going.
