Those were both great achievements for an Irish team and memorable at the time for that. I think though that the top tier of achievements has to be for things that are notable at the level of the sport ie more than the Irish see it as big

Big racing fan here but that’s a no for me. Human accomplishments have to supercede equine ones.
Ireland is the best country in the world at horseracing though. If the Irish industry was the size of the UK one, there would literally be no point in International Racing as Ireland would just win everything. The standard of producer, trainer, jockey here is off the charts.

Ya, I was at a jockeys soccer match in the North of England once, never saw such an uncoordinated shower of cunts. I’d be a millionaire only for jockeys.

The only real change for me was how they attacked the blind side consistently off 2nd and 3rd phase. Other than that was just basics done consistently well
