True. Sure the best thing to do would have been make rocko be relegated. But seeing as his loss actually did that for him then what was the point. A shame you can’t see the wood from the trees on this. You’ll find that Colin hasn’t seen eye to eye with me for years in the league, none more than this year when I fixed the draft when it didn’t suit him. It’s only now he is seeing how my tough stance has been for the betterment of the league. An awful pity sandy, you’d have been a fine GM in our league.
I wouldn’t be cut out for the rough and tumble that goes with being a GM pal. I’d just worry about the long term damage this episode will do to you. You’ve handled it very badly and have come out looking weak.
It’s a shame it has all come to this, the two tier set up gave the leagues an added edge. But I can’t blame @ChocolateMice and the rest of the lads throwing the toys out of the pram over this issue. Who would seriously want a join a league where these sorts of shenanigans are overlooked?
TFKNFLFFL was set up because of a love of the game and a love of our troops.
Franchises were drawn to the competition and prestige and were admitted to this exciting new league on a first come, first served basis. They became the founding members.
Everyone and anyone was invited to participate and we ultimately filled the 12 available slots. There was no discrimination.
It was after this, way after this, that other franchises expressed an interest in competing in TFKNFLFFL. No doubt their interest was piqued by the seeds sown by us originals. It was they who asked to align themselves with our existing and successful league. It was they who wanted to play under the auspices of TFKNFLFFL.
A new franchise doesn’t automatically get parachuted into the top league in sport. They have to earn the right to compete with the established organizations. Look at Sevco in Scotland or FC United in England, for example. Hell, look at MLS Commissioner Garber looking to set up new US soccer franchises and having promotion and relegation.
A cabal of these uppity fuckers have now thrown their toys out of the pram because they haven’t been good enough to EARN promotion to the elite league.
Their crazy talk is reminiscent of Gordon Strachan and his ridiculous demand for Scottish football to manipulate Sevco, Hibs and Hearts into the top division.
Fuck him and fuck them. They won’t receive special treatment and they don’t deserve to be affiliated with our magnificent and much admired league.

Two teams get relegated and Two from the Segunda League get promoted. @Rocko’s oversight/shenaningans? have not in any way impacted on this set-up - so why all the fuss? @Rocko has been punished by losing the game and getting dragged into the relegation battle, so no need for further action.

Having participated in both leagues I can easily say that The Primera League is a far fiercer competition. I’ve no doubt things have improved in the Segunda under @ChocolateMice 's stewardship but I have to say the biggest difference is the waivers. I basically got who I wanted on Waivers each week in the Segunda. Not so in the Primera. One week I scheduled 8 waiver pick-ups and didn’t get any of them. I’ve struggled from week to week to fill a decent team and but for my unique and insightful 2QB drafting strategy, I wouldn’t be No.2 right now.
Having no relegation in the Segunda is a huge weakeness, especially in the run in. There’s no reason for the bottom feeders to try. Every game, every week counts in Primera.

That waiver thing is your opinion, have a look at the segunda over the last few weeks, there’s no one available on waivers that’s taken in the window licker league I reckon. Your point on relegation proves little. If the leagues were reversed there’s nothing to say the attitudes wouldn’t be too, haven’t there been cases in the window lickers before of franchises giving up too when facing relegation? Not to mention resigning from TFKNFLFF altogether such is the apathy after a season in the window lickers where teams exist solely to avoid relegation and the bravery and creativity that is a hallmark of the segunda is stifled. Why not let everyone face relegation and promotion in one super season, no excuses then.
