I picked up this south African number on the way home. It’s quite nice
Lidl do a lovely Ribera del Duero called hachon… Only a tenner I think… Well worth a try…
I had the M&S Classics Beaujolais Villages this evening. Also very nice and great value. The Rioja is slightly better.
Going to have a Priorat from Catalonia next. I’ve not had anything from this region before so we’ll see
I’ve had an Australian Malbec from aldi this evening that was very nice.
Priorat is generally a lovely wine, typically has Cab or Syrah in it as well as Garnacha so can be robust enough. Enjoy.
I’ve been enjoying Albarino this summer…a lovely light white from northern Spain.
I’m surprised they have as nice a wine as that in the Circle K
You would imagine Mrs O’Sullivan has had to self medicate on it since the wedding
I’m on Chilean Malbec now from aldi. If I was sober it would have tasted a bit tannic but seems the finest.
Are you going to hit the Argentinian Malbec next and finish off in style?
Too mainstream for me pal. I have a Siberian Malbec here that needs finishing
Can’t beat a balbec Malbec
Northern Portugal as well, vinho verde. Nice part of the world, lot of Celtic influence.
A phrase to use about wine but actually anything in life Is
“There is a real immediacy to…”
I plan on rolling it out a lot from now on
There is a real immediacy to it
Aka
I haven’t got sick yet
2 for tonight. Another one from the M&S Classics range - the Burgundy for 17 euro and the second is a Spanish Grenache Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Sunday Times Wine Club - about 13 euro
The Vinho Verde is mighty tack, I went through cellars of it when I was in Portugal last year. Aveleda was my weapon of choice.
