You wouldn’t hear it much but I’ve heard a good bit over the years. Don’t think it’s used out the country though. Different accent ! Same with “tackies”

No tackies here( runners you’re on about?) If so we used call them rubber dolly’s- don’t ask , something to do with the runners Dunlop’s produced in Cork at the time

Yeah , it comes from South Africa but only used in limerick city. Probably some priest back from the missions !
Would you still all runners rubber dollys in cork then ?
