My old Accountancy teacher, Eddie Fallon, used often reference Strawmen or Men of Straw in terms of financial litigation. Basically, you canāt get something out of someone who aināt got anything.
Did he teach the well known accounting principle that if your mother sends you down to the shop with 50p you canāt get a poundās worth of goods?
