Qatar projects 400,000 visitors for the World Cup. It has 50,000 hotel rooms at the moment, but says that will increase to 95,000 by 2022. That looks a well thought out plan.
What happened to the rule where you could only have one city with two stadiums? In that case London should bid for 2026 alone, it would easily be able to handle it. Dublin 2030 would be able to do likewise. We certainly have enough hotel rooms.

I watched the chief Executive of the English bid (Andy Anson?) on Sky News this morning and he kept mentioning how Russia did a lot of last minute lobbying the night before the vote and changed the minds of a lot of voters. It was funny enough to watch as he kept just stopping short of accusing them of bribery.
The next few months should also be fun as large sections of the English media will surely go after those FIFA executives to try expose more of their dodgy dealings.
