World Darts Championships 2018 @Lakeside - The Greatest Show On Earth

This match has been so good it deserves to go the whole way.

So unfortunate that one of these players will have to lose it.

5-4 Geezer

Two solid tons from Wolfie.

Wolfie finishes 76!

We’re up for the bull!

Wolfie hits the bull. He throws first.

Great respect between the combatants
Tie break

Both players rising to the occasion in this final leg.

Geezer wins! What a match!

Always sad to lose Wolfie from any World Championship but what a match he played and he was his typical magnanimous self in defeat. True sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Mark certainly showed in that final leg why he’s rated as the world’s second best player.

Incredible drama to start the week at the home of darts.

Geezer mentions a family bereavement in his post match interview and Rob Walker chimes back in with “well even more credit to you for getting through in that sudden death.”

Mark dedicating the win to his brother’s father, who sadly passed away last night.

Family values.

5 sets, goes to sudden death and Adams still didn’t manage to throw a 180 in the entire match. And yet the guy he pushed all the way is the fucking number 2 seed.

The mind boggles as to what sort of shit is to come after this.

This Willem Mandigers-Nick Kenny clash looks like it’s going to be a belter.

Two smashing walk ons.

“One hundred and eighty!”

“One hundred and seventy seven!”

“One hundred and forty!”

“One hundred and forty!”

And then Willem hits double 8 first go.

Oh yes, this is already a belter.

A 14-dart opener for the Dutch raider despite being back on 393 after 6 nervous darts to start. Both players have now settled into things.

2 future PDC players on show here. Nice to see Dean Winstanley in the audience earlier and I really hope his injury clears up and he’s successful in Q School with the PDC very soon.

The Turkish Masters champion already looks like one to watch in this year’s tournament.

He’s 80/1.

But Nick Kenny is not to be written off as he’s playing really well too.

Dirk Telnekes is the Bet to win this World Amateur Championships this year I’m told.

Mandigers takes the first set 3-1. He’s 3/4 on the doubles.
