Not until he signed for United.
why are we discussing non EPL keepers like Leighton after the criteria was specified previously?
Sorry Mickee, I couldnāt resist replying to MBB. Only EPL keepers from 1992 till present.
Trying to think of an EPL club that hasnāt had a shite keeper. I think they have all had a shite keeper at one stager or other, some had more than others namely Arsenal.
remember mark crosseley at forest?
didnt brian clough punch him after john salako lobbed him from 40 yards in an FA cup fifth roound game in 1991*
*albeit this was before the onset of football and the EPL but Crossely did play a major part in Forests third place finish in 1993-94 EPL and subsequent collapse in the 1998-99 season
He was a chubby lad with curley hair. There was Andy Dibble at Man City.
Those goalkeeping jerseys were horrendous.

Was it crossley who got lobbed by beckham from inside his own half?
Neil* Sullivan I would have thought
*thanks croppy_boy
Neil Sullivan.
Neil Sullivan you dope
beckahm scored that goal against wimbledon in 1996, Crossely was with Forest then
get with it FFS
Oh dear!
Sullivan was lobbed by David Batty from 40 yards or so a couple of weeks after the Beckham lob as well.
ForFuckS Sake
Though he predates the EPL Steve Sherwood of Watford was comfortably the worst goalkeeper I have seen in the top division. Gary Sprake of Leeds was nothing to write home about either.
In more recent times Paddy Kenny and Marcus Hahnemann deserve a mention.

Thanks for the clarification pal, appreciate it.
did kenny kick the crap out of a guy in a supermarket car park or something?
goalkeepers i really admired during my pre EPL days were Tony Coton at Man City and Watford and Neville Southall at Everton during the 80ās
When im home next i most ask the mother to dig out my Panini 1990 sticker album ( if she hasngt sold it) that has all the teams from division 1 and the SPL at the time. This predated the orbis football collection and World Cup 90, stickers retailed at 26p a pack and were esssential items at the time and wonderful for amassing great football knowledge at only 11 years of age.
The onslaught of the EPL destroyed such things of beauty as thisā¦
Fuck the EPL

Got into a scrap with some lad who was riding his wife or Kenny was selling drugs to or trying to buy sexual favours off or something.
