not sure I could bring myself to watch it or read the book. I read one of the books about the Port Arthur Massacre in Tasmania and whilst it was really awful reading at times, I struggled after the killing of one of the children was described, where yer man got out of his car to go find her. That whole tragedy was horrible, but when he killed the mother and her 2 young girls, it was very hard to read any more of it.

Americans have been consistently misled by both the government and the press for years on everything. The internet has given the truth a platform and allowed people to begin to question the official narratives, unfortunately itās got to the point now where the absolute loons believe nothing they see in the news at all. No matter how much proof there is. Thereās a huge number of people now who think the holocaust never happened. Thereās websites documentarys the works. Insane stuff. They donāt trust the official news sources but instead they just take verbatim the lunatic stuff
Ya i agree. I have friends, well they were friends, who have gone that way. I am an unbelievably suspicious cunt and i do not, as a rule, trust people in power. They have to show me they are there for the right reasons.
However that does not mean the whole world is under the thumb of a conspiracy theory.
911 is the best example. There is no way the American Government blew up the twin towers. Dud they take advantage of a bad situation to further some individuals/corporations agenda? No doubt.
But that does not make it a comspiracy.
Unscrupulous people take advantage of bad shit all the time. Its the way of the world. But there is alot of good people genuinely trying too.

The big cover up relating to 9/11 is that it was Saudi backed. That didnāt suit the narrative so they went after Iraq and Afghanistan instead. But by covering up parts of the story it lets peopleās imaginations run wild.

To tie your point in with what @gman was saying, there is a One Nation (australian nazi party) candidate in the next QLD state election who claims that Port Arthur never happened and itās a government conspiracy.
The whole fake news thing is part of this social media based phenomenon where people now pick and choose the news to suit their own ends and mental beliefs. Trump is obviously the outstanding example of this. The whole ādebateā about human induced climate change is another perfect example (āI donāt believe in climate change, I read this website the other dayā¦ā which is like saying you donāt believe in volcanos).
Part of the problem is that (for the most part with good intentions) mainstream media organizations have this need to appear unbiased, so have to have some fucking nut job on to ābalanceā a discussion.
Lockerbie was another one. Libya had fuck all to do with it.
