You must have missed the important segment which takes place in a POW camp not to mention an actual battle scene which takes up a large portion of things.
Youād need a heart of stone not to like Metal Lords.

Deerhunter is a decent film as an ensemble piece, but itās so full of self pity it canāt be taken seriously.

Meet your brotherā¦exact same thing happened me - watching from the Northside where transmission was also lost.
I had begged the parents to let me stay up to watch the fight and the oul fella, the main fight fan in the house, interceded with my mother on the proviso that I tell him how it went the following morning. He was working Saturdays at the time and couldnāt stay up. I felt somewhat sheepish when he woke from me sleep on the armchair asking how it went!
The only thing I remembered was that the broadcasts were sponsored, novel enough at the time, by some big Ford dealership from Cork.
Iāve never seen The Big Lebowski, should I watch it?
Overrated, because it was underrated initially, and then became a cult thing. But thatās just like my opinion man.
It is worth a watch though.
Ah yeah, its great craic
Miles behind Fargo in terms of quality.
Some good moments, Bridges is excellent but itās all over the place plot wise I thought.
No mention of Donnie Darko here?
Top 3 films is a bit of an impossible choice really depends what you are in the mood for.
Even just in war movies Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Das Boot, Saving Private Ryan, Apocolypse now, letter from Iwo Jima, Born on the 4th, Galipoli
Or the more classic war movies, Bridge over the River Kwai, Guns of Navarone, Spartacus, Great Escape, Zulu
Then you have cheesy but great like Braveheart, Last of the Mohicans, Gladiator etc
And thatās only off top of my head, how could you pick three movies across the whole lot then?
- Taxi Driver
- Shawshank
- The return of the king, lotr
