The goonies is too frenetic.
Stand by me is a great film.
+1 on Stand By Me.
Really?
I’m a bit confused.
Eh? I thought you were Irish? These are foregin films you Goon.
Full Metal Jacket is my favourite war movie*
*I think, I’m open to revising my opinion if someone reminds me of a better one
The Road
Gave the kids a kiss goodnight as they slept after watching that.
Not into films really. Never seen any of those mentioned apart from Forrest Gump
+1, middle of the road at best. I recall it getting three star reviews generally. Can’t understand anyone putting it in their top 3, it’s not even pretentious it’s just bad taste.
On Avatar, the film is only about the visuals. I saw it in imax and it was fantastic entertainment, there’s no point in looking at it on tv.
I haven’t watched ‘new’ films in a long time after the monstrosity which was Wolf of Wall Street.
I actually saw Stutterer - if you can count short films. A brilliant 10 minutes but a woeful ending.
agree rating
They are all foreign films you mug!
snap!
Shutter Island was decent.
I fuckin hate honourable mentions, if you’re asked for three why not leave it at that.
Glad to see support for what is unquestionably my number 1, Stand by Me.
Oh I’m sorry but my interpretation of a foreign film differs from yours. I may be wrong in that interpretation but I give zero fucks about it.
Stand by me is a great film alright. Stephen Kings made his name as a horror writer but I reckon his best stuff is general fiction. Shawshank, green mile, Dolores clairborne and stand by me. All great films too.
Lebowski
Blades of glory
Clash of the Ash
The Godfather
The Big Lebowski
American Beauty
If I was picking three non English language films I would go for:
Das Boot
Jean de Florette
Nikita
- Nil By Mouth
- My Cousin Vinny
- Snatch
