Yulia Tymoshenko freedom thread

I don’t want to come across as some sort of know it all but Ukraine has been referred to as the bread basket of the old Soviet Union. When you understand this it puts the present issues in context. We share a border with Ukraine so I have a keen interest in what’s happening. I favour swift and brutal reprisals from the state.

You are safe in that respect

Please disregard all comments by balbec, he is vile polak, they hate us as we are their masters, they blame all their ills on us rather than the fact that they are squared head dullards, we will crush them if needs be,but any polak talking about this situation is talking shit and its loaded with bullshit.

The democratic will of the Ukranian people is to have closer links with Russia, if some students try to go against this the Ukranian Army should nullify them & if needs be we will crush them

Putin is God

end of message

Looks like your boys are well clamped, there is a deal on the table and Yulia is being released.

Russia , unlike the west is against needless deaths, unlike the west where imperialism is the only strategy Putin knows that there are other ways, anyway dont you have another region of the world to fuck up

Sentiments to echo those of the Irish times after the 1916 rising.

Yanukovich ran away like Rovers fans in Limerick.

Your support of Russia kinda goes against your thinking in such issues like discrimination against Travellers and others. Russia ha a dreadful recor in human rights. Are you pro-homophobia?

no

Are you pro-Putin?

yes

You are homophobic so

Ukraine could be on the verge of civil war
I owe the forum a proper post on this but in Eastern cities like Kharkiv and Donetsk that are dependent on mining and heavy industry support to remain close to Russia is strong, Im sure Darren O’ Dea is well aware of this,.
This of course is not covered in European media but the BBC WS did a good feature on this earlier today.
The childish, Fox news type stereotyping as @caoimhaoin above demonstrates of course will begin in earnest, “these people want to stay aligned to the USSR so they are homophobic”… what a world we live in

Incorrect. It’s been pretty well reported on.

I wonder is it a coincidence that this all kicked off during the Olympics?

haha, yeah, there might be something there allright, interesting that the protests are isolated only in Kiev as well, the rest of the country dont seem to be as radicalised about the whole thing

Fuck all this - what news of Euginia? Has she been seen? Is she alright?
