Is the second bus tour you mentioned a one where they act out 1916 stories too? My friend is working with one of them. They did a lot of work with Collins barracks researching up some lesser known stories from the Rising. I’m looking forward to going on it.
I think it might be if it refers to lesser known stories
Wait until the anniversary of the Rising is my advice. We’re still a month away from that.
Easter is Easter. I’ll be filling in my census form on the anniversary.
Ken Early made some strong points on Second Captains today
I’ll be sure to check that out given his well respected reputation on the topic
A fitting tribute to Limerick’s effort in 1916.
Good interview with Michael Foley about his book the Bloodied Field and the GGA lads who fought in the Rising and the War all the same, even if you are too ignorant to hear different viewpoints.
So not Ken Early then.
There’s a few different venue areas in town on Monday. Around Merrion square is the most family oriented by far. I think we’re doing that. I’d love to hit some of the other venues. Fotf @nemesis is involved in liveline from 1916 on o connell st.
You can read what I just said. If you don’t want to hear him there’s a good interview with Michael Foley on the show about the GGA and 1916/the War.
Informative. I’ll check the info out for Merrion Sq on Monday. Cheers.
Great crowd here at the Lost Leaders March. About to set off to Arbour Hill now, band playing Say Hello to to the Provos…
I would say that despite the best efforts of John Bruton, Ruth Dudley Edwards and Co the Rising celebrations are engendering a great sense of pride in the people of Ireland.
geldof acting the cunt as well now
It’s all in vain. The people have taken the rebels to their hearts.
Gerry on fire. Great speech. Hope @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy can keep up the high quality on Sunday before we head into Charlie and The Bhoys, great to see them over for the weekend.
Happy Easter Rising anniversary lads.
