Hopefully Sunday’s the day to make up for 2004 when Lar Mahon and Liam Tynan conspired to give them a draw. If he’s on form Zane will be worth two or three extra points from frees than Hyland. Even if he was still on crutches he’d offer a lot more than Holohan having him back is huge.
I’m still confused about Mullaney being dropped. Reilly at his best isn’t nearly as good and can let the head drop if he lets in a goal or two as he has done for Abbeyleix and for the minors against Kilkenny in 2008.
I agreed with you last week turrene, but where is the prob this week?
Backs are of championship standard, and thats what you need. Aisake will get a rel test sunday, can’t argue with that. Notice Cussen hasn’t played against KK or Tipp. He is obviously not wanting to show everything. And in all that he’s giving a few fringe players a game.
Ya, light and fast, we could get blown away, but its the league, and Cork are in a good position. Not saying its perfect, but his job is to sort out the team for championship. He’s not making it easy on the players anyway, thats for sure.
Dropping Cusack for Martin Coleman shows that Denis knows the score,Cusacks day is done in the Cork goal since ye slowed down the puck out a bit,he wouldnt stop sheep.
He’s still one of the worst excuses for a shot stopper I’ve ever seen play inter-county hurling. He’s solid in every other regard though so it’d take a classy enough keeper to displace him at the same time. Are TG4 showing Cork and Tipp on Sunday. Laois and Wexford is the only other game that should be fairly interesting.

Competition for places is fairly intense this year and I’d say the likes of Healy and the Hayes’s are on their last legs. Cullinane is back training now too, Donovan is only injury concern at this point, all told the squad is developing nicely and I’d say a fair old batin’ is on the cards for the Dubs this weekend.
Link and WTB - Homophobes or just worried Cusack will be considered better in the long run than your own favourites?
Either way ye are talking through your holes.
He’s not dropped by the way, and is in fact in the form of his life. Every keeper was promised 2 games this year in the league. Its one thing to be mis-informed, its another to be a bigot.
We’re giving Limerick every chance anyway and giving Hickey plenty to do at the same time, having Damien Fogarty and PJ Delaney for corner backs will test him to the limit of his abilities, knowing that RIchie O Niell is minding the house behind him wont be much comfort either.Great that hes back though, hes mad for hurling and is fully fit, hopefully he plays against Waterford now too.
Study yourself there now for a minute Kev,ive long rated Cusack as a shite keeper, ive been saying so on Clarehurlers.com and the other cunts website for 10 Years now,his involvement as a pivotal figure in the Cork hurling dispute further chastened my dislike for him.
My opinion of him as an Inter County Keeper is that he wouldnt stop sheep, ive held this view for a long time and it has nothing to do with the fact that hes a dung pusher,ok.
Clare beat westemeath by 7 points…4 19 to 3-15…don’t know the clare team as i had a match myself, but am disappointed to hear we conceeded 3-15 to westmeath
Would you be concerned by Clares “progress” so far this year? They have struggled against very medicore teams in the league. How far removed have team selections been from what you’d anticipate for the summer?
