2010 National Hurling League

give him another one then

Too early to be writing him off imo.

Hand on heart he was rubbish the other day MGG. You’ll be waiting I’d say to see the best of him.

and aren’t we used to waiting?

And its not like we have better options.

Until your pair grow armpit hair that is.

Hilariously bizarre defense. Fancy Waterford to win now.

presume Michael Walsh is a brother of Austin?

Ludicrous back line. Kevin Harnett…ah fuck off now Denis. Give William Egan a game instead of a tried and failed 25 year old.

Forwards look ok. Waterford will beat us.

Egan’s injured. Not sure Cadogan will line out as he is playing for the footballers, so the defense might be a bit different come game time. Agreed on Hartnett, not an inter-county hurler.

Oh he’s expected to play both. I think they want to see how he goes, cos it could happen in august again.

I don’t have any problem with him doing this, he’s young and fit enough, and if he plays as they are lined out its too very contrasting positions.

In a weekend of pretty poor value on the hurling front, Waterford to beat Cork at home at 11/8 is a very attractive bet

Ya, i’d be looking at that, its a decent bet. Cork have more scoring forwards playing this week, but the full back line is just weird.
I’ve been very impressed with Waterford and Davys management this year. He’s getting good use of the league, they are winning most of their games, introducing some new players, some of the guys (Richie Foley and Kevin Moran for example) who were there before are becoming leaders and i think in general they’ll have a really strong squad for the next few years.

They have no fear at all of Cork, so i’m going to turn on my face the ball prediction and i now think Waterford will win.

Laois to put ten or more on Westmeath. That is all.

Tipp team to face Limerick.

  1. Darren Gleeson (Portroe)
  2. Paddy Stapleton (Borris-Ileigh)
  3. Paul Curran (Mullinahone)

  12. Gearóid Ryan (Templederry Kenyons)
  13. Eoin Kelly (Mullinahone) Captain
  14. Micheál Webster (Loughmore Castleiney)
  15. Timmy Hammersley (Clonoulty Rossmore

Who is the Hammersly lad st corner forward? Would expect another fairly big loss for us this weekend. Will it be enough to force Justin out? Nearly past caring at this stage. :frowning:

is the hammersley lad d guy who played with WIT

I’d say it won’t be good. Hammersley was corner forward on the WIT Fitz team this year. Had a great campaign and scored 2-20 plus in the final weekend alone. Doubt he’ll feature at the business end of things but a useful player all the same. The kind that would out to make a name for himself in a game like this one.

Was that special meeting held hannibal or what happened?

No meeting was held. The clubs that submitted requests for a meeting had the requests returned to them for being technically incorrect. I assume they will be re-submitted and should see something happening this week or next. I imagine the county board would like to stop any meeting occuring before the end of the league. Once we stop losing games the issue will not be as pressing. To be honest unless there is a huge change in attitude from the delegates/clubs then Justin will more than likely see out his two year term regardless of how damaging it will be for Limerick hurling.

Results from yesterday

NHL Division 1
Galway 1-22 Offaly 1-18

NHL Division 2
Kildare 1-15 Down 2-16

Second piss easy goal of the game for Cork against Waterford. The manner in which Waterford concede goals must be awful disheartening for their supporters.

Game starting to pick up slightly

Half time in Limerick , Tipp 1-10 Limerick 0-2 .I`d be suprised if Limerick score 6 or 7 pts in total , their down to 14 men & tipp are attacking in waves . Could be the final straw for Justin .

A serious hiding here sohuld focus the minds for Tuesday nights meeting. Not that they should need much focusing anyways.

Waterford full back line is the weakest in Div 1 and I’d include Limerick in that.
Speaking of Limerick, Tipp look to be giving them the boot up the hole they desperatly need there.
