Interesting questions, larry. The 32-man GSOD field in November comprised 7 BDO players. I think I’m correct in that but perhaps someone else can verify. Scott Waites of the BDO breeze through it and won it with the minimum of fuss. He was back amongst his BDO peers for the World Championship and was of course dumped out in the last 16. That conclusively proves the greater strength in depth and higher standard in the BDO, which all neutrals were already aware of.

Larry’s questions are entirely understandable in the face of the sustained PR propaganda campaign from Sky Sports and the PDC. He just wants to confirm what his eyes already have told him, ie that Lakeside is the superior championship. Thankfully seasoned, impartial, knowledgable darts people such as myself and Bandage are able to reassure him that he is indeed correct in his observations.
