2011 GAA Betting Thread

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank pp for their generosity. Insert drinking emoticon here

Sweet

Had Longford, Meath and tipp with their handicaps in a treble. Fucking tipp cunts

Good work Padjo, I wouldn’t have touched Offaly footballers.

Fair play Padjo…didn’t see the Offaly result coming at all.

DP

Meath offaly and London have done me good. Didn’t expect the monaghan result. If Kildare and donegal oblige it’ll have been a super weekend.

No pressure on ballysteen either but they better win

Yes, wouldn’t have expected much from Offaly today.

As Julio said, that Meath handicap was a gift from Paddy Power. :pint:

peter canavan tipped them the other day.

Padjo is Peter Canavan?

Fuck Down anyway. Got the start they needed and then sat back. Lucky to scrape a win eventually. Had a small bit on Meath but not enough to get excited about.

Really disapppointed I didn’t pay more heed to Julio and those tipping London. Could have made a great weekend of it.

Peter Canavan is a proud Irishman-padjo is not

Adding this to the right thread. This was a beauty if I do say so myself…

Meath Over 3.5 goals in live betting 9/2.
Value? Cian Ward is going for goals every time.

Wexford over 20.5 points.
Evens.

What do ye reckon?

Think they could gve Carlow a bit of a trimming alright. The standard of Louth-Carlow was put into perspective yesterday i feel with Meath, an average side, having such a field day.

Don’t know what to make of Donegal vs Tyrone after Monaghan and Cavan’s capitulations yesterday

I think both teams are well ahead of those 2 teams that went yesterday. Tyrone tend to ease off and leave as much as they can in the tank when they have a team on the ropes. From what i read they were pretty much well in control of the Monaghan game, so i don’t think thats going to have much baring on todays game. Having not seen Tyrone yet i would wonder where their level is, as in are they making the passes and playing the game as economically as they used to, i have my doubts (again only garnered from reading reports) and thats why i have a feeling it will be dam close with Donegal maybe sneaking it late. I think when the game is played at real pace Tyrone struggle ever since '09, can’t see that changing.

I suspect the Karl Lacy-S O’N battle will have a big bearing on the outcome.

I’m looking at Donegal +1 @ evens myself, but may not bet at all.

Does the beating Wexford gave Offaly look better after yesterday?

It’s hard to tell definitively, I reckon. You could put a strong case forward to say that it does but, on the other hand, Westmeath went out meekly to Antrim so one win could look better and the other one would make you cautious.
