Mullingar has st Lomans and Mullingar shamrocks

tralee has about 4 …
O´shea brothers´club Breaffy is right out side castlebar

does longforsd town have both Fr. mannings and Longford slashers?..

What is Portlaoises current financial situation?

Without Wooly they can hardly expect to do much… Hugh Coughlan back with Moyne/Templetuohy aswell.

Tralee has at least three. Kerins o rahilly, john mitchells and stacks. Think there is another one called clan na Gael or something too

We’re a sad lot.

 on a Saturday night too. Where did it all go wrong.

I’d say most of those towns mentioned would have less successful clubs you just wouldn’t have heard of. Tullamore has only one definitely though but wouldn’t be as big a town as portlaoise.
What other big or decent sized towns in Ireland apart from Portlaoise only have one club?

May be wrong on some of these but I think:
Thurles
Ballina
Omagh
Tuam
Naas
Cavan
Thurles has Thurles Gaels which is an amalgamation of Thurles Fennellys, Rahealty and Thurles Kickhams.

Ennis? I know banner are their but are they considered an ennis club, how many in sligo town?

Gorey only has one club
So does New Ross afaik

Eire Og, Clarecastle, St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield.

Doora barefield definitely wouldnt be id say. Dunno bout clarecastle its a seperate town i would have thought.

Clarecastle is merely a part of Ennis and isn’t a town in its own right. Doora Barefield are from Roslevan in Ennis but moved their grounds to Gurteen outside the town a few years ago.

They are separate parishes but Clarecastle is essentially part of Ennis town. St Joseph’s are on the other side of Ennis with the main population area being part of the town with the villages of both Barefield and Doora only a mile or so from the town. The Banner club only field underage teams.

Doora-Barefield and Clarecastle are separate parishes from the parish of Drumcliff (Ennis). But nowadays a lot of people in Doora Barefield would for all intents and puposes be suburban Ennisites.
Btw, Clarecastle and Ballyea are in the same parish and both senior clubs.
Technically there are two GAA clubs in Ennis, the Banner being the other club besides the better known Eire Og, but the Banner are, and always have been, completely useless.

Fermoy, Mallow, Carrigaline, Bandon, Ballincollig are all towns in Cork with much bigger towns than those around the country with 2,3&4 teams.

Carrigaline, Ballincollig & Mallow should be forced to at least to form 2nd underage clubs.

Na Gael. Who picked up alot Of the Celtic Tiger population boom, were threatening to do something at Junior/Novice I think.

Killarney has Crokes, Legion, Killcummin & who else?

Mark Timmons last minute goal from the game last night. Cavanagh would have pulled him down
