I don’t really get your point. Foul play is wrong no matter who the act is perpetrated by. And for what it’s worth (nothing) there was a good bit of moaning about what happened to TJ Reid and Rice (Even though I think Maher wanted to break his hand). I can’t remember someone trying to take the head of Walsh.
Wexford lads losing the run of themselves here. The two strikes across the head were appalling and Duignan was correct to highlight them. The fact that he hit belted a Clareman 15 years ago isn’t especially relevant. He also correctly highlighted thuggish behaviour by McCormack which was suprising as the Dub hurlers have been a sacred cow with RTE for a few years now.
Tommy Walsh was lucky not to get a second yellow for taking down Smyth in Tullamore a few years ago. it gotloads of coverage subsequently and it was far from an assault! You couldn’t hit Smyth enough times in my opinion but that is beside the point. I can’t remember the Lyng incident. Was it not a thrown hurl rather than a belt?
Hickey’s got out of jail for his belt on Mike Fitzgerald after he pulled the hamstring in the All-Ireland alright but it wasn’t on the scale of the three incidents from Parnell Park.
Tannion’s cowardly late pull that broke TJ’s kneecap is the one that annoys me most of the lads that got away with it in the last few years. Pauric Maher’s swipe on Rice was was terribly reckless but a yellow was what I would have expected at the time.

I was gonna rate agree on a good post until you ruined with your last line about that cunt Maher. So I mostly agree followed by a strongly disagree.
Ah very good. Yes and he was sent off for it too wasn’t he? I think the thrust of some of the arguments is that there are selective punishments and glaring inconsistencies.

Gman said Sinnott deserved a red and that’s good enough for me. So did Shore and he got one. Tommy took Smith down with a strike of he’s hurl which isn’t a yellow!
Walsh struck Lyng in a Leinster Final after Lyng had got around him. No damage done but a deliberate strike and clearly a red card that was chickened out of by the ref of the day.
Obviously picking on Walsh is unfair but there is a school of thought that certain players are above the law to a certain extent.
The referee presumably didn’t see Tannion’s strike. I didn’t see it on the TV coverage either.
TJ Reid surprisingly dropped from KK team. Replaced by Cilliian Buckley. No mention of injury. Walter Walsh replaces taggy and Conor Fogarty replaces Jackie Tyrrell, who is injured. Michael Fennelly doesn’t start.

TJ Reid dropped is a surprise. That Kk line up wouldn’t put the fear into most teams. With Tyrell, Fennelly, and shefflin back on board might be a different story though.
Maybe Dub don’t pose much of a threat. TJ wouldn’t be a firm favourite of Cody’s but saying that he didn’t do too much wring last day. Yet another source indicating that Henry will play no part in this years campaign, a suggestion that it may be over

spot on re Duignan. This rubbish about him pulling a dirty stroke 13 years ago disqualifying him from commenting on dirty play now is getting rather tiresome. He has stated that he should have been sent off for that so move on from it. Johnny Giles put in a few dodgy tackles in his time so should his comments on bad tackles be ignored, ditto Roy boy on ITV?
Tom Dempsey should be concentrating on upping his own analysis which is rather inane and shite on Sunday Sport Radio rather than hopping off Duignan and batting for Wexford.
