2014 Club Championships
Keaney seemed to be carrying a knock only got going for 10 minutes but nearly carried boden into it on his own. Paul ryan did nothing from play. It was a good tough game though and the final will be a cakewalk for crokes as the first game was one of the worst games of hurling ive ever seen. O tooles just let Sutcliffe do what he wanted, when he was the only lad on the field who remotely looked like doing something QUOTE]
think keaney got nose broken last week playing football.
So Laois got an extension but Wexford didn’t?

They could have finished both in time if they hadn’t given 2 weeks free prior to u 21 final and put the hurling final on 26 October with the football final next Sunday. Although having 2 clubs competing in both is a bit of a cluster fuck.
Tipp champs out of football club as well.

Its all coming to a head nicely.
Indeed. But it’ll go away because Wexford and Tipperary champions are small fry.

Back in 03 when Dublin football was being dragged through the courts there was a postponement sought and received.

from what I know, both Laois and Wexford asked for a week extension, and it was granted. But obviously, its of little use to Wexford now, as they still couldnt manage to have it ran off in time.

its ironic though, the ‘talk’ when the hurling championship was being rushed through was of Oulart, and how Wexford had to have a team in the Leinster championship.

Annes and Shels in the semi final of the football could be interesting with one of the clubs seeking revenge for defeat in the hurling. I’d expect Castletown to beat Gusserane in the other one, despite their big win over Horeswood, I thought it was a poor enough Horeswood team this year.

Realistically the Wexford hurling champions have a better chance of competing than the football champions but it is a bit of a farce alright.

Gusserane could do it this year. Carty a huge loss to Castletown.
Darren Hughes was on fire and some of the points McManus got were spectacular. It would be great if Monaghan could unearth a couple of good young midfielders because an attack line of the Hughes brothers and McMAnus would be scary.

The Laverty goal in the Down final was brilliant. I would be expecting a lot from Ryan Johnson this year, he seemed to have a brilliant game for Kilcoo. I’d say Kilcoo are the best team to challenge Cross in Ulster this year if Cross win Armagh. They did beat them last year though Cross were depleted with Clarke, Kernan and Morgan among others missing.
At what stage in Ulster are Kilcoo and Cross set to meet? Would be some occasion if it were to happen.

10,000 at it last year and serious bad blood between both sides since the Aaron Cunningham incident two years ago.

No offence to Mark Fanning who’s a very good keeper, but Graham Nolan of St Jude’s is a better one. His save in the first half today was world class and I expect Wexford scouts will be at this upcoming Dublin final. We also need half back line talent to take us to the next level.

He’s a bright young talent alright. How has he stayed under the radar for so long?

Numerous career threatening injuries too.

Eoin Quigley playing for Sars today in the Cork SHC Final against Glen Rovers. I hadn’t realised that Glen Rovers haven’t won the Cork championship in 25 years.

What club final are they showing on TG4 today does anyone know?

Only 2 in 41 years.

Cork I think.

Just checked, they’re showing the Offaly county football final. :rolleyes:Surely better games on today.

The best club match today is Drom/Inch vs Thurles Sars in the last 16 of the Tipp championship. The winners will be massive favourites to win the county

No one gives a fuck.

I’d say they give more of a fuck than about the Offaly senior football final

think he got his nose broken last week playing football…he´s been carrying boden in hurling and football for years…

Carrickshock beat Castlecomer inn the senior championship by 4 points.
a pub team in the kilkenny senior hurling championship… who would have thought !!

Can’t spell “kill the coon” without Kilcoo.

You don’t build a new stadium giving away TV coverage to TG4

Big crowd seems to be on way to PUC
