Carlton called all players back early I believe hence why Tuohy and Sheehan arenât involved with Intl Rules. He was back in Oz I thought anyway as he wasnât around for the Co Final.
Itâll be like going away to Galatasary for Cork Sars so.
Welcome to the jungle.
Welcome to hell more like.
We will welcome our Cork visitors with open arms. And hopefully walk all over the cunts.
Will the Kilmallock fans be singing âShoes off for the boys in green?â
Unlikely. The âbalbec songâ might get an airing though
Mullinavat and Ballyragget in the intermediate final Sunday, senior final on the 16th.
The Bridge and Mooncoin the the Junior final also this Sunday
Hon The Willies
He was pulled back in any Aussie coaching conspiracy to relieve Ireland of a number of their AFL players. Carlton called them back weeks early for training. Itâs clear they are hell bent in winning this last test, maybe last ever. I expect fireworks.
Sorry Gman it seems he was back in Oz and ha returned to Ireland alright for his sisters wedding and christened the child. Not sure what sort of stroke Laois Hire are pulling here.
thats what I thought alright. I knew Carlton had pulled the Irish lads from the Int Rules alright, but I didnt think they had started their pre season, or would do and that it was only Malthouse, a former coach of the Aussie Int Rules team, doing what he could. But it just seemed odd to me that Tuohy was back home for a wedding and his childs christening, and then Laois Hire say they flew him back for the game? Easy advertising I suppose.
No he has been back and played for portlaoise, came back to Oz and is now heading back (or is already there) to Ireland again.
I wasnt sure if he went back to Oz or not, but I just find it strange that Laois Hire are there saying they paid for him to come back, when he is already back here and had his child christened and went to his sisters wedding. Maybe they did pay for it? But its not as if he was flown back on a whim, you dont just arrange a christening and wedding on the off chance that a plant hire company will fly you home
It may be possible that they have paid for his flights to be rescheduled perhaps. Heâs a massive boost to Portlaoise though, it means they can move him and Bruno in and out of full forward and gives Vincents something else to think about. Iâd still have my doubts Portlaoise will be fit to overturn them, theyâve once again sleep walked through Laois and will most likely suffer in the same way as Crossmaglen when coming out into the province.
a well spent âŹ100 charge! Either way, it looks like a publicity stunt, and sure more power to them if it helps.
It would give them a great boost alright, in both the dressing room and on the field. He should be able to bring a lot of leadership to them, despite not being there. By all accounts he keeps in very regular contact with the club and it doesnt seem to be an issue there that he just waltzes in and gets his place. Theyâve been pushing for a Leinster for a while now, I certainly wouldnt begrudge them if they finally break through. But similar to Oulart, there is only so long you have until you start regressing in the county championship.
Surprised he is allowed play other sports by his professional club or more importantly their insurers.

Yea, youâre right on that. Thereâs no question of Zach upsetting the dressing room, the core of the squad that are there now, are his generation, and they all understand the opportunity he got and how he had to take it. Heâs home every year, and I would suspect heâs had gametime in at least 7 of the 8 in a row won by Portlaoise. Heâll also have unfinished business with Vincents as he felt he was harshly sent off against them back in 07 in Parnell Park.
For what its worth, they won Leinster as recently as 2009 and before that in 2004 and top the roll of honour for Leinster titles, so theyâre not exactly on Oulartâs level just yet.
In fairness to the Aussies, they do have a real appreciation for our club scene and the fact top players still play for clubs.
