2014 National Football League

…its actually gas if you watch O´Gara shooting for goal…he always just blasts the ball as hard as he can and usually it is nearly always skewing off his foot and flies upwards…
its nearly always around crossbar height… i rememeber he got a goal against tyrone a few years ago in 1/4 finals and thank fook he was so near the goals when he shot because he practically sliced it into the top corner…:D[/QUOTE]

I have seen him shoot for a point and hit the corner flag. Much better players than O’Gara on the Dublin panel and even some better ones knocking on the door of the panel.

WTF? How many All Stars has Diarmuid Connolly have? Is he a shit player as well then? Eoghan O Gara has been on the field at the business end of All Ireland Finals, a shit player as you claim him to be, does NOT end up in that position. Who judges a great player by All Stars? They’ve been picked generally by dimwit journalists and players who haven’t seen games.

Speaking of Diarmuid Connolly

Derry are going great guns at the moment and no-one is talking about them. Mark Lynch has been bestriding the field like a colossous during the league and for me has been the outstanding player of the league. Eoin Bradley is missing the league as he is playing soccer for i think Coleraine until May. He was head and shoulders their key man last year and is a class act, a real handful. If he gets back in they’re serious dark horses for me in the championship, they will trouble anyone.

You had a very similar post about Armagh last year iirc

Derry a are a classic League team, and Mark Little a classic league footballer. They have a bit to go yet before you could call them dark horses.

Laois are now fucked, the defeat to Meath will be the killer blow. They have to beat Down next day out and hope Galway lose, or draw. Laois never beat Down.

The lack of any decent backs is the problem right now, the forwards could match most, but we have absolutely no full back line or centre back. Midfield is an issue also, but not half as much as the two previous ones. You could get away with it before the enforcement of the black card, but we’re being caught out now having to force two attacking wing backs into the corners, Timmons injury against Meath has ruined the best option we had for full back.

A drop to Division 3 would be horrific but you end up where you deserve to be sadly. The way underage football has been allowed go to seed in Laois over the past 10 years is truly criminal.

No i did not i have never rated Armagh so i don’t know where you’re getting that.

Our crowd played yours in minor football a couple of weeks back and led for 50+ minutes, Laois had a better bench to empty and got late goals to win

Its a long way from the 90’s, and mid 00’s especially when Laois won 3 Leinster at the grade in 5 years, and in one of those years they lost the Leinster final they went on to win the All Ireland through the back door. Now minor success is far from the be all and end all but some of the results at Dev squad level in recent years has been dreadful. When set against what the hurlers are doing it smacks of gross neglect.

We’re going to absolutely pummel Tyrone today :clap:

Tipperary 0-14 0-9 Wicklow

Waterford 1-3 0-5 Carlow

The two Munster hurling counties going up as things stand.

Tipp hammering the shite out of Wickla, which all but guarantees both Tipp and Clare go up.

Clare win in Antrim, and are promoted to Div 3 along with Tipp.

Fuxake, Wickla scored 4 late goals against Tipp!!!

Tipp 0-22
Wickla 4-12

It was 0-20 to 0-11 just a few minutes ago.

tipp were fucking beaten. conceded 4 late goals costing me some money in the process

The win and semi-final qualification is in the bag, it just depends how much Dublin want to win by. That suits me fine, as I’ll be tuning out at 4.

Cork, Derry, Mayo and Dublin wil be the semi-finalists. Only the pairings remain to be decided.

We wanted to win by 1, and we won by 1.
