Tyrone have a nightmare path to winning Ulster.
Down in the prelim, Monaghan in the quarters, Armagh/Cavan in the semi and Donegal/Derry in the final. I think winning the All Ireland is far more likely through the backdoor route for Tyrone. Still the Ulster Championship is the biggest prize in GAA.
There is very little between Derry, Donegal, Monaghan and Tyrone and all would be in the top 8 teams in the country right now.
Monaghan is the banana skin for them but none of the above will be enough for the Dubs who will do back to back All Irelands! I will ignore the biggest prize in the GAA comment…
Referee has been very favourable to Mayo. Doherty was very harshly sent off, particularly his first yellow and Freeman got an extremely soft free there. Lee Keegan has been hanging out of Lynn all game as well.
Derry physio’s thong on show.
Outstanding from Sean Leo.
Derry have been absolutely magnificent today, hopefully they can hold on for a deserved win.
Chrissy McKaigue has been awarded MOTM. He was immense today although Mayo’s forward is very poor. Lynch, Lynn and McGoldrick were also superb.
Martin McGuinness 1
Enda Kenny 0
Chrissie much use at the hurling? He plays a bit
Not sure, pal.
Derry are serious contenders for the All Ireland, probably lacking a heavy scorer inside but they would seem to be the best defensive unit around at the minute, have a strong midfield and a superb half forward line. They were also missing James Kielt today. Mayo have a load of shit bags up front and Andy Moran would struggle to make most county panels in Ulster.

will the Bradleys come back into the mix? They might solve the heavy scorer inside dilemma?
Horror start for us. Nearly conceded a second goal there.
I doubt it, to be honest I’d say their absence has more to do with the current renaissance, Derry have always had the players but rarely the togetherness or application. I know we’ve seen them in the league like this before but it’s different this time.
Blistering start by Cork here.
Brian Hurley is a class act.
Dublin not at it all yet.

We are all over the place at the moment. Cluxton has gone a bit mad in the last couple of games.
Some dreadful wastefulness from Dublin so far, Alan Brogan has had a few very poor attempts.
The loss of O Gara has been a hammer blow to Dublin.
Awful stuff from the Dublin forwards.
And here he is
Have they left him too much to do you’d wonder?
