We smashed them. We didn’t even have Gormy playing either.

Leinster Council has imposed an 8 week ban on Dublin footballer Jason Whelan for “inflicting injury recklessly” during O’Byrne Cup v DCU.
8 weeks :o
So a fella spits out his gumshield and chows down on an opponent, and he gets 8 fucking weeks?!!! Ridiculous.
The new Dublin GAA gumshield, available in all good sports stores from tomorrow

My source tells me the Dublin county board and management are to order a special set of t-shirts in tribute to Jason Whelan to be worn by the players in the warm-up before the first league match against Kerry in 10 days’ time.
Let’s not let him walk alone.

It’s very harsh alright mbb. Don’t think anyone would have an issue with him biting a student.
Not a Ballymun U student, you dont know where those cunts have been.
Hope he was tested after it.
If it was the football team it was probably a poor innocent country lad who only wanted to play a bit of ball
Henry Shefflin named in the Kilkenny team for Sunday:clap:
Canice back as well after a dislocated shoulder. Kilkenny certainly wheeling out the big guns for this one.
Very interested to see can canice build his follower count for the summer. Would ‘inside in the city’ not be a more Munster than a Kilkenny phrase though? #vitaltobeanauthenticvoice
Mckenna cup final is off
the shot from Padraig Fogarty AND THE POINT from Padraig Fogarty
signing in with Brian CARTHY from St CONLETH’s Park, kildare 1-1 Meath yet to score
clare 1-6 to 0-0 up on UCC , UCC of course are rightfully fielding their Fresher’s side after they were involved in the Canon Michael O’Brien tournament final that was played against Cork last night
Yeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss
Dublin win by a point - 1-15 to 1-14.
Kildare RETAIN the O’Byrne Cup.
Jayo’s winning trophies.
Christ that is some second half score line in Kilkenny, I presume (pray) there was a hurricane down there. We’re in the long grass now whether we like it or not.
Kilkenny beat Galway easily enough - 1-24 to 15.
They had strong enough line out. Team named was Murphy, S Prendergast, M Walsh, C Fogarty, J Holden, Hogan, P Murphy, Taggy, P Phelan, Shefflin, C Fennelly, Larkin, JJ Farrell, M Kelly, LRyan.
Shefflin seemingly scored 0-13, 12 frees. Looking at twitter, C Fennelly seems to have scored a lot including the goal. Good to see Shefflin back. Surprised to see Larkin on it this early but the guy could do with getting properly fit. Playing Murphy in the half back line could be an option but we’re not exactly blessed with choice in the full back line. Disappointing not to see one of the newer lads get more scores.
Galway had a lad called Darragh Burke sent off for a bad pull on Larkin near the end. Niall Healy frees seem to have been their main source of scores.
