2015 All Ireland Final - De Duds vs The Yerras

He played there, I realise that. I’M saying he didn’t fulfill the role as is totally needed in modern day. Was sticking out a mile he was being targeted for attacks thru the middle. And when Cian O Sullivan went man-to-man on him in 2nd half of semi final there was only 1 winner.

I had thought in the past he should be out there, but when it actually happened he was only doing half the job. He cannot tackle at all.

He almost singlehandely beat Dublin in that role. Johnny Buckley offered nothing at 11.

Kevin Bonner.

Will Pillar be fit to get him off this one?

For 35 dumb mins from dublin. After h/t he was nulified for a very large part. And even before it Dublin had a lot of joy going at him. They clearly highlighted same this year.

I think all the vitriol at Gooch has been misplaced. Yes he was shite. But kerry were pretty much all shite. At least he tried to battle and tracked his man. Kerry’s half forwards and midfield were desperate. Their half backs were powerless. The kerry management just before halftime was a perfect illustration of how many problems kerry had and how they had no idea how to fix them. The Gooch’s performance was just one of many reasons they were dismal.

It’s not really the man himself guys are questioning really (even if I think he is in trouble), its more management s use of him. And then the bizarre continued use. Not changing it was the biggest sin.

kev predicted a tipp kerry double

he lost a lot of money on that

he has no credibility on bogball

Will it be a probation or a technicality this time I wonder.

Could someone please copy and paste the Jim McGuinness column on the final? I’ve already read my quota of Irish Times articles this month.

Highlight the headline, copy it, highlight the menu bar in your browser, click paste and go, click on the link to the article, the article opens despite you having reached your limit.

You’re welcome.

Or open it in the wanking window.

I don’t know what you get up to at work, pal, but @Bandage is a businessman and that type of behaviour is frowned upon in a business environment.

Just reading the Darragh O’Se column in The Irish Times. He wonders why nobody stood up to Philly McMahon throughout the game and fought fire with fire. O’Se knew Kerry were goosed when McMahon drove forward, jinked past Cooper and slotted over that point before half time. They needed to play the game on their terms rather than allowing McMahon to dictate to them and bully them. To put it a different way, I think he’s querying why Kerry didn’t HAMMER THE HAMMER.

Because they bought into the line, despite the management being at their whit end to tell them otherwise, that Fitzmaurice won last year’s all ireland for them.
That and sheer hunger. Which is why I laugh every year at people saying this team or that team will dominate. one team in 25 years has gone back to back. Dublin will no more dominate next year than anyone else

you were tipping kerry this year

I think you’ll find Kilkenny have utterly dominated hurling since 2000, mate. I’m pretty sure they’re included in the “anyone else” category.

Delighted to hear that based on your stellar predictions and general analysis this year.

This is football we’re discussing. What has a team from another sport got to do with it?

You’ll find I predicted Dublin to win all ireland at the start of the year and despite going for kerry all along I went for Dublin when teams were announced.

The 2 major predictions I got wrong were Tyrone v. Monaghan & mayo to win replay. I never realised mayo would make the exact same stupid mistakes again on the line.

Did you get absolutely everything right all year ya?
