You’re an animal! I’ll do it.
Tipp will get a good game from Galway but will ultimately prevail by 3 or 4 points. Tipp will then go on and beat Kilkenny comfortably enough
If tipp get over Galway they’ll win It out.
A young brimmer bradley
That’s what I said
Will you ever let go of the fact that I fucked your sister, pal?
As for the kid, his ears were made in Galway, but those eyes (and the lack of space between them) are all Tipp.
I’m really looking forward to this one. Galway v Tipperary is the truest hurling rivalry of the modern era. Since 1987, its 6 wins apiece - Galway in 1987, 88, 93, 2000, 05 & 15, Tipperary in 1989, 91, 2001, 03, 10 & 14. There’s rarely very much in it and Galway despite all their faults and inconsistency invariably turn up for this particular fixture.
You can put a huge asterisk after 89.

Tony Keady.

And 01

Joe Connolly was sat behind me in the Hogan at that one, his face was the colour of a Galway jersey after it.

Yep, was shocking that Paul Delaney had to miss an All Ireland final over that oaf Keady.
Refs winning all irelands for traditional counties can have that effect alright. Hope you don’t suffer a similar fate in the football pal
We’re playing Galway mate, it’s Clare that are playing Kerry

Tipp won’t be worrying any refs in the AI Football Final
-
Galway not a traditional hurling county? Well blow me down!
1 We’ll make sure of it
2 We broke through in the 80’s, so clearly not
3 You’ll need serious help from the ref a la 01 to stand a chance in the semi
How would Galway be classified as a “traditional” hurling county? We won one All Ireland up to 1980, and that was in a year when, as a dearly departed Clare poster once claimed, the rest of the country was fighting a war of Independence (in 1923 ). 1980 was against Limerick ffs, and the two All Irelands in the late 80s were against an aging Cat team and Tipp who had just emerged from a 20 year famine.
Galway is a traditional football county, hurling is only played in a few remote parts bordering traditional hurling counties like Tipperary and Clare .
