2016 Allianz National Hurling League

Cody eyeballed him on the pitch during the 1st half of that match, Kirwan made up for it in the 2009 All Ireland, can’t understand how the cunt got back on the referees panel.

Refs would need a strong personality to stand up to attempted influence. You dont as far as the inter county panel with a strong personality. Yet another summer of hopeless officiating to look forward to. Much gnashing of teeth, no reforms ever even considered.

Doesn’t say much for a ref. You need a John Conway type there. When abused from the line or supporters, John will assure the person to ‘shut your mouth, you’re dealing with the best in the game here’ and carry on.

Can’t beat that sort of self confidence in a 70 something year old referee.

Seanie hasn’t aged well , can’t be 40 yet.

That can work both ways. Refs get sick of some idiot constantly roaring at them too and can take it out on the team. It’s not like Davy is Alex Ferguson and can essentially ban a ref from ever getting another Clare game.

His biggest battles have been with James McGrath, culminating with him killing us in the 2013 final replay. Even though we’d won the whole country was seething with the cunt. Sure enough he’s appointed for the very first game the following year.

And he rode us bareback that day in 2014.

Championship preview now. Lopsided draw in Leinster with the big three powerhouses on the same side of the draw with over 100 titles between them and all the diddy sides playing against each other.

There has been a lot of serendipity about this league for Clare. We had a heap of injuries which forced us to use the full panel and plenty of options have been unearthed like Fitzgerald, O’Brien, Reidy, Cleary, Shanagher and Flanagan who wouldn’t have seen anywhere near the gametime if we had our full hand.

The Tipp and both days against Waterford would have been games we would have lost last year and we have got 5 very good games in the past 7 or 8 weeks which you would hope stand to us. Great to win today despite not playing all that well. Podge and McGrath were excellent first half but were quiet second half while Dillon and O’Connor really stood up second half. Conor Cleary looked to be struggling but he turned it around and put in a big last 15 minutes or so while Tony Kelly is just a class act

Serendipity.

The boys don’t think anybody outside the big six has a chance of winning the All Ireland.

The biro clenched in his fist… :fist:

I’ll give you 100/1 on wexford for Liam pal

The fucking roasters surrounding him.

Well done clare, didnt think until about 50 minutes that they could do it. Waterford were winning alot of battles. It was a much better game than last week but the hurling was still putred at times and can be a clusterfuck. I reackon both teams will get to an ai sf but both have to be more offensive to win it. They both have the players

Is the fella in the Waterford jersey trying to strangle him? Yer man has a saffron and blue headband, bit of an identity crisis going on.
