Bit of a joke having Mullane on RTE commenting on Waterford games. He is as biased as fuck. Same as Tom Dempsey commenting on Kilkenny games I suppose. A bit ironic yesterday to hear Tomas (15 steps) Mulcahy commenting on Davyâs (lack of) sportsmanship.

Plus one itâs ridiculous having a commentator from the same county as one of the teams playing unless theyâre going to balance it out with one from the other county.
@caoimhaoin, why is it you seem to think that Waterford have more potential than Clare? They have a marginally better set of backs maybe and are bigger, but Clare have far more options all over the field particularly in the forwards. With everyone fit that Clare panel must be the most competitive in the country with the amount of guys properly contending for starting places.

Towards the end of the game, Clare forced Waterford to deviate from their game plan and Waterford had no plan B.
In the final 15 minutes, the Waterford backs were put under a lot of pressure and were forced to clear the ball long, of which the Clare midfield and half backs won most.
Clare seemed to want it more at the end.
What is it with the media love for Waterford. This Waterford team are the most cynical crowd of fuckers to grace the game in a while what with their negativity men behind the ball bullshit and their sneaky off the ball belting and diving into tackles. The man behind all this is some chubby jackass who has done equal if not more than what Jimmy McGuniness did for football but bizarrely the media are happy to ignore it. The antics of that orangutan Dan Shanahan on the sideline are Davy Fitzesque but again this monkey gets a free reign.

I switched on the radio 1 yesterday and lo and behold there was jackie Hurley on national Radio 1 telling John Mullane âhow do WD deal with this now, they were robbedâŚâ to which the lacking in grace and manners and respect and common decency proceded to utterly Gut the referee who has to get up in the morniong and seemingly decided not to send off that tramp âOssieâ Gleeson for striking a clare player.
Again yesterday like last week they had Clare beaten having âoutsystemedâ them for long periods but shat themselves when the pressure came on.

I found it hilarious yesterday the amount of times on both TG4 and RTĂ that presenters and analysts went out of their way to mention that any criticism of the drawn game was overblown, or that the turgid rucking was just âfierce intensityâ.

youd hear far more comment in the mainstream media over the past 5,6,7 years when a team played with a sweeper. even in limerick the main issue on the ground with Daly before he ever even arrived was that he couldnt field a team without the need for a sweeper.
waterford play with one conventional forward and 14 men behind the ball as a tactic. its turgid and its disgusting. the cunts should be slated for it and id wager if limerick,clare,galway set up like that with fat lads trying to bulldoze over opponents as a gameplan then the media would rightly call them on it.
the only reason yesterdays game was more open was because clare kept 2 or 3 forwards in the ff line which meant WD had to keep 3 or 4 lads inside their own 21 for long periods.
Maybe they do have a Plan B and were not willing to show their hand yesterday. Iâd be surprised if they didnât have a Plan B tbh,

Probably lovable losers alright. Extremely successful counties who win all the time like Kilkenny and Limerick would never get away with that in the media.

Well they won the league and beat the AI champions and reigning league champions, they havnt been beaten this year, so theyâd be right up there yes
If rucking becomes a skill required at intercounty level my dreams of hurling for Limerick may not be over yet.
