9 Mayo and 4 Dublin Come out of the fog ffs. How many would you have given them if theyâd actually won it?
Show me where it says in the rule book that you cant throw a GPS device at a free taker.
Its called gamesmanship alter boy!
Some interesting points here
How did Hughie in the Boarâs Head get such a hold over the GAA crowd in Dublin? Heâs been pulling them in for over 10 years now.
I used to attend meetings in the Capel Building one time and on occasion youâd see an inter county manager pissed in there at lunch time.
The same I imagine with Cillian OâConnor replacing Dean Rock on the first replacements list being the only change.
Perhaps you donât understand the concept of the All-Stars. They are individual awards given for individual performances over the course of the season.
Mayo played 10 championship games to Dublinâs six and most of their games were epic clashes, therefore Mayo players had a much greater chance to stake a claim for inclusion than Dublin who coasted through Leinster with facile wins against poor opposition.
Also most of the best individual performances in the final came from Mayo players.
Jim Gavinâs comment about knowing what itâs like to lose a national title was cuntish I thought. He likened losing the league final to Mayoâs 66 year wait.
Very pointed and look at me Iâm a pro bullshit.
He couldâve referenced 92 or 94 or the humiliations of the noughties but not our Jim.
Youâre going out of your way to be offended now, mate.
Jim is the ultimate leader of men. A top class act.
I always get the impression that everything Jim says and does is with one eye on his future corporate speaking career. Every utterance is the kind of corporate speak nonsense they lap up at these things
Ah Iâm not really. I just thought it was a sly dig at Mayo.
Heâs so fucking boring.
Hughie is heavily involved with St Brigids. Not sure how it became such a Dublin GAA spot but good luck to him. He is thoroughly alright sort
Build a bridge fathead
He is to be sure.
Ooooft.
Nailed it. Sent work emails yesterday morning and all.
And made sure itâs known in the media.
There must be a thousand people in Smithfield.
I was talking to a guy recently that once played an exhibition hurling match for the Queen of Sheeba, so he knows his shit as the man says. He said it was one of the greatest, fully legitimate handpasses he had ever seen.
Despite Hughie being a Cavan man, itâs well known county lads donât put their hands in the pocket in the Boars. Refused to serve us the morning after a championship victory but helpfully vouched for us to Slatterys up the road.
Good few were in the new Pipers Corner which is closer to the Gibson. Hughie"s mantle could be under threat.
The boggers and muldoons will still go there.
