When Mayo went 2 points up with 7 minutes to go, Dublin outscored them 4-1 in the remaining 15 minutes or so of overall game time. They also had the wherewithall to systimatically foul on the last kick out too. Whether or not people want to use that as a positive or negative, but they know how to win at all costs. Mayo didnt. It was Mayo who changed Dublins kick out strategy too, as alluded to many times by @Appendage on the game day postings.

Had Aidan O’Shea not dived last year or Conor Loftus’s shot had been slightly higher this year, he probably wouldn’t be in a job.

I find it hard to square that Mayo team with the one in Croke Park in the later stages of the Championship.

Ifs, buts, etc. His and Mayo’s entire set up has been aimed at All Ireland Sunday the past two years. I cant even imagine how soul destroying its been. But I firmly believe they’ll be back, they’re an amazing group of players, a wonderful reflection of humanity and all our fallibilities. Mayo people are lucky to have them represent them.

No, he played advantage which allows 5 second after which he can bring it back should no advantage prevail.
Advantage clearly prevailed in those 5 seconds but bizarrely he still brought it back.
Mayo were clearly cheated in this instance.
