Who told you that?
I’m not so sure that that is the correct wording on the advantage rule. I didnt think he was playing advantage, but could be wrong. I’m also not sure there was a foul outside the box. Contact yes, but the jersey pulling happened inside.
Dessie Dolan is a ham.

Sid is playing the fool to wind up the muldoons. Joe McQuillan (Dublin) blew for the foul in the square but chickened out of the penalty.
When are the viewing figures in? We should be able to knock another two hundred posts out of that
The Muldoons are forensically examining every marginal decision that went against Mayo whilst completely ignoring all the dreadful calls from the ref that went in their favour.
no, looks like in one of those rare instances, I’m wrong.
Foul Subsequent to Advantage Award
If, during the advantage period, another foul is committed against the team which received the original advantage, then a
free kick/puck will be awarded for the “second” foul if it is considered more advantageous than the original.
A penalty is of greater benefit to a team than a free.
That’s the whole point of the advantage rule, to see if a greater benefit than a free will occur.
see above clarification.
Did he have his hand in the air as required though?
I dont know pal. As I said, I didnt actually think he was playing advantage.
the advantage rule needs clearing up though. There seems to be an unwritten rule that if you are being fouled, you can take as many steps with the ball as you want and play can continue. In actual fact, which is quite bizarre, if you get advantage and over carry the ball, the free should be given against the person over carrying despite having been the one fouled in the first place. I’ve never seen this happen, but those are the, quite silly, rules.
its gas, they hate successful urbanites beating them at their own game
Go to 10.40 - It doesn’t show ref but Canning says that he had his hand raised for an advantage - whistle isn’t blown until he is in the box so either way it had to be a peno

Could you imagine the rage on here if Dublin could be bothered winning a stick hurling title? The meltdown would be epic. We should probably do it for the craic.
