2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Accurate kickouts of whatever length are a great skill.
Personally Iā€™d leave the rules alone for a year as it would be hard to have a significant rule change as Dublin, or any side, are poised to make history.
Iā€™d just say no backward handpassing in your own 65.thatd do it I reckon. Only needs a small tweak like that to have a major impact. Some of the handpassing is a joy to behold Imo.

Dublin and Kerry have won 65 of the 131 All Ireland Football titles between them. The other 30 counties have 66 between them. Itā€™s a two county sport really. Itā€™ll be Kerry that break the Dublin domination.

it has to be Kerry

The Kerry boys wonā€™t want the Dudā€™s doing 5 in a row

Ah it will. The snowflakes will bate it.

Hurling at least has a big 3 .

Why is it deemed impossible to match Dublin athletically and for fitness? Jerry Kiernan needs to come onboard in some other county and get these fat, dandy GGA footballers up to scratch. Dublin were actually piss poor for the first 20 minutes yet they were still walking through Tyrone. Itā€™s just that they duffed and miscued loads of efforts - McCaffrey and Oā€™Callaghan into the keeperā€™s hands, Small missed a sitter etc.

These gaps were apparent from the very start - how can that be down to fitness disparity? Dublin belatedly sorted themselves in the second quarter and actually finished properly after walking the ball through a few more times, including for the second goal.

Too late. The ā€˜Stupid 8sā€™ mean that thereā€™ll always be an asterisk with this Four in a Row.

Dublin played first twenty minutes with COS on one leg. He could barely run before he eventually had to bow to the inevitable. Not sure how it was decided it was a good idea to start him.

Skill and movement was a joy to behold.
Dublin choose athletes first and foremost and then coach the football into them to extent it might be lacking. That is the model other counties need to adopt. Unless you are naturally fast you should be nowhere near an inter county team in current era.

Agree completely. As soon as Cooper went sweeping after COS went off we were way more solid at the back. Cooper had his best ever year. He comfortably covered a number of different defensive roles. On top of that he stopped getting involved in the silly off the ball stuff

I enjoyed watching Dublin in the flesh yesterday for the first time in a few years, even if as a competitive spectacle the match was a non-event with Tyrone out of their depth. McCaffrey, Fenton and Kilkenny are superb footballers. Already all time greats. Brian Howard is a terrific footballer as well for a 20 year old.

Because itā€™s easier to shout financial doping and go back to the couch happy with your dayā€™s work?
Dublinā€™s great innovation was to get fit lads to run in semi-circles waiting for a chance instead of just up and down in straight lines. True renaissance stuff.
No-one has been able to replicate that.

Dubs are like the all blacks. Super fit and absolutely brilliant at doing the basics

Any sign of New Zealand getting split in two? North Island and South Island.

Not as yet Geoff the rest of the world just trying to get better. They get more sponsorship than most as well did you know

Sure theyā€™ve only won three out of eight world cups. Why would they bother.

Three out of eight World Cup wins adds up to more dominance than 28 out of 131 wins in the football.

You spout some amount of scutter
