An Ajax v Spurs semi final if it came to pass, quite apart from a clash of sister clubs with such a strong Jewish identity would be a real sop to older values and money not been everything. Most of the Spurs squad are home grown/bought on the cheap or in the cases of Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez signed from Ajax.
