I can see a big picture like no other
Kirkpatrick is a rolls royce of a footballer
No. Would have happened relatively shortly after.
Jesus wept, theyâre âpissed offâ? Theyâre fucking supporters, do they think the lads werenât giving it all so they could have a big party, fuck sake
Nasty nasty post. The Cork lads arenât taking this well
Mayo are athletes really. They donât look comfortable shooting.
You look at the scores they from play and you could only say that the Keegan and S Coen points had any real difficulty levels.
The handskills of the Tyrone players is brilliant too when you think. Great fetching all day from the likes of Kennedy, Kilpatrick and Harte but moreso the ability to palm the ball down to runners coming in. Kennedy is excellent in this regard.
The midfield won Tyrone that game. I think weâd have been every bit as comfortable against Kerry if we had the same level of dominance in the midfield and with the kickouts.
Thereâs a lot to come from this team still. The age profile is good, only really McCann, Harte and Donnelly are maybe in their last couple of years. Morgan can play another 10 easily, his pace is absolutely vital for Tyrone, he has the mobility of any of the outfield players at this level and it really allows him to come out with the ball and be an extra sweeper.
But when you look at it this year, Donnelly was a bit of a mixed bag, McShane came back into action late on and looked a little rusty, Canavan had an injury interrupted season, Rory Brenna wasnât able to play much of a role with injury. Jonathan Munroe was injured and didnât get a runout this year. Liam Rafferty and Cassidy didnât feature.
The nature of the season mean that the new management didnât get to try any new players. Think Cormac Munroe and Donaghy were the only new players to feature this year and it was limited enough game time.
We have won a few u20s in recent years and had a very promising minor side this year so Tyrone have a very bright future ahead.
I reckon Enda McGinley will be nailed on for the Tyrone manager job whenever Dooher and Logan call it a day.
Tyrone stood off Oâshea for his pointed effort in first half knowing heâd miss. Dublin used to do the same with Tom parsons
Watching the match back here.
Conor McKennaâs pass to Darren McCurry to tap in the second goal was superb. Under pressure and to have the composure to see that pass - brilliant.
McKenna has been a strange one. Heâs had some unbelievable moments but has been poor enough this year.
He was electric when he came back for the few games under Harte. He just needs football I think and a more defined role, Iâm expecting a big year from him next season.
I donât think heâs been able to play for his club yet since coming home so the amount of football he played is quite low.
Some return for him and he seems like a smashing young lad.
Was there a highlights show on last night ?
Yes. Iâm watching it on the player.
Watching it here too. Looks like d o Connor wanted to take the penalty ? Would Ryan o d have scored one before for mayo ?
Have to say you guys shocked me @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy
I thought theyâd take longer to transition from Harte. It feels like they shifted much the sane way that Donegal did from 2011 to 2012, much more willing to take a chance and way more trust placed in the players.
Hope you enjoyed it.
2022 is looking like a very open season. Nuts weâve gone from no one pushing Dublin close to 4/5 strong contenders so quickly.
5?
Ryan is an ex ireland underage soccer intl I think, he prob thought he had the skills to do it. When Morgan didnât buy his shimmy he was stuck in a hard place.
The worst football championship ever?
The analysis claimed Morgan was off his line and Harte encroached so it should have been retaken.
Kieran mcgeary has a very weird fringe.
