Ah they did.
They started a fight down in a junior club game a few years later with Derrytresk, got their holes handed to them in the fight and then bitched about it for months.

And Pat Spillane hasnât been highly critical of Kerry ?
Sure they rip Kerry apart whenever they lose a match. Mayo get crucified constantly.
People like you are the reason Tyrone are hated, with your bitterness, even the week of an All Ireland win
Apples and oranges mate. Did McCann have half the country obsessing over him or people like you excoriating him for his complete lack of contribution on the pitch this year?
Look, your team won a famous victory. They are being roundly lauded by literally everyone around the country, and already everyone suggests they will be around for a while and win more. There is no agenda against Tyrone, itâs all admiration of a really fantastic team.
You would think that would be enjoyable for you. But instead youâre obsessing about some years old imagined slight to a gimp sub hanging around the end of the Tyrone bench. Thatâs a bit odd mate.
Iâm not talking about criticising the football.
Iâm talking about the allegations of cynicism, cheating and dark arts. Kerry have been the dirtiest and most underhand team of the past 20 years but youâll never hear a peep from RTE about it.
Thatâd be Dublin mate.
Its great to see Tyrone back. Hopefully another dynasty coming.
He did something wrong on the pitch, had pundits calling him a disgrace and an embarrassment, asking for him to come out and make a public apology, was hit with a made up ban from the GAA when rules state a yellow card is the maximum punishment such was the outrage by the media, he had to attend an appeal in Dublin 48 hrs prior to the semi final to play the game. He has his county men acknowledge what he did was wrong and he kept his head down.
Aidain OâShea cheats to send a plucky Fermanagh out of the Championship, has pundits naval gazing and awkward silences when the replay is on the screen in the post match analysis. He is on the radio doing an interview after the match denying he cheated when a blind man can see he did. Your obsession with AOS is bizarre, the guy is a complete fraud of a footballer and an absolute cunt of a man. The type of lad who will fail on the pitch, put his own interests ahead of the team and then try and throw the management team under a bus when they take on his ego.
Philip Jordan getting Marsden sent off in the 2003 final was seen as one of the lowest stunts of them all, and then all the nonsense with Gooch and Riceys carry-on in games. All this was justified at the time by Tyrone making out winners play on the edge.
Yet as soon as Harte leaves a very likeable team come and win an All-Ireland the proper way. Morgan helping Clifford when he had cramp in the semi-final, and Clifford and McKernan laughing and joking towards the end of that game showed the change in approach under Dooher, its great to see. All that hatred and bitterness Harte and McGuinness tried to make normal was woeful for Ulster football at every level.
Itâs Kerry.
When you see Kerry in the flesh, itâs amazing the levels of cynicism they engage in.
Ah ya, all the made up stories because Gooch couldnât get the better of him.
On the other hand, Kerry did their level best to rough Canavan up, but he hit them back with 1-01.
One goal and one point in his 45 minutes on the pitch.
Great to see @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy use his place at the mountain top to lay waste to his enemies and settle old scores. As it should be.
Do you not thinks itâs odd that youâve had such a brilliant win, everyone is praising your team, and youâre still obsessing over AOS? Youâre the one that introduced him to the conversation yet again.
Iâm discussing double standards in media reporting down south.
Youâre trying to dispute that with illogical defences of AOS.
My work here is done
What double standards? McCann got called out for being a gimp.
Heard a few lousy stories about people who got caught with etickets that had been sold multiple times and being left outside the stadium pretty distressed. And was talking to a chap who was rushed from behind by a Mayo fan going through the turnstiles trying to get two through the gate. The Mayo fan didnât succeed but left my man with a pretty sore back.
And AOS didnât. Aidan OâMahony didnât. Johnny Cooper didnât. In fact AOS has now a long line of these incidents and he had another one at the weekend where he tried to get Kennedy sent off but sweep, sweep.
AOS gets more criticism than any player I can think of. OâMahony was torn to shreds, and rightly so. Canât recall the cooper incident or response but Iâve long pointed out that Dublin get away with dirty play and cynicism so that fits.
Why can we not equally criticise mccann for being a complete gimp? I wouldnât mind but heâs no use either, he wouldnât even have name recognition apart from his being a gimp.
You mustnât be on TFK long
Cooper scored 5 points the same day and set up the first Kerry goal. Shortly after that goal when it looked like he was going to run riot was when the âinterventionâ happened.
