Corkās problem as far as I can see is the complete apathy around the team from the Cork public. Football is the poor relation there, perhaps the sane could be said for Galway
Cork footballers are the only sports side in Ireland who are more often than not out supported at home league games. Fuck all interest in the general public in the sport.

The rocks of Connemara and the cement of the city where lads canāt hurl play football.

Cork hurlers definitely number 1 in Cork apart from west Cork. The big population centers are hurling though for the most part. Different in Galway whereās it much closer to a 50/50 split.
