Savage from English finishing 3rd looking like he had a load left in the tank. Great manoeuvering all around by him. I wouldn’t rule him out for a medal based on his 2 runs so far

Great silver medal from Ciara Mageean. No shame in losing to the best. She went with Muir’s kick immediately and blitzed the rest of the field.

A very un-irish run in that she just backed herself and stayed aggressive. The poor girl was in tears after the Olympics last year and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. She’s bounced back brilliantly this year.

Performing to the very best of your capability is the goal for any athlete. To leave as few regrets as possible. She’s done that over the last couple of weeks.
