2023 Club Championships

Presume that was the Doon Juniors? I heard their Seniors barely have 3 players.

A mixture of both.

Their Juniors usually compete well in the box office Limerick Junior A hurling championship but they could be under pressure to stay up this year.

Not sure there is much of a point putting this in the Waterford thread but Ballygunnar look as good as ever tonight.

2-22 to 0-9 up v Passage after 48 minutes who are absolutely septic.

Tells you all you need to know about Doons interest Iā€™m afraid.

Their first goal was a thing of beauty.

Ian Kenny who was starting for Waterford two years ago and BG Joint Captain last year went to Oz for 6 months, is now home but has been relegated to their Intermediate team.

Doubt any other club can do that.

Left corner back. Usually the most useless cunt on the team.

The first of the Carlow Senior Hurling semi finals marred by some very ugly scenes in the closing stages. Scenes that simply have no place in the game. Mount Leinster Rangers come from 1 point down at half time to beat Bagenalstown by 5 points.

Crotta have hit some woejus wides. Will be kicking themselves if they lose this.

Crotta goalie sent off

The sub keeper wasnā€™t killing himself training by the looks of it.

Do you remember the big row that Naomh Eoin had with Meath champions Trim back in late 90s in Dr. Cullen park ? By god that was serious flaking

Jordan Conway was excellent for Crotta.

Thereā€™ll be some pints drank in Kilflynn tonight. 55 years is some wait when thereā€™s only 8 senior clubs. Fair play to the men who kept it going when things were in the shit. They were stone useless a long time

Disagree. In hurling anyway. The right corner back is usually even worse. He can get away with just being a pure stopper. The left corner back usually has to cover across that bit more.
For backup evidence please refer to the book that was brought out about 15 years ago that had interviews with great players from every position on the pitch. Was a decent read

Great scenes after.

Another St Mullins v MLR final. Same pairing in intermediate too. St Mullins have been absolutely flying this year in comparison to last season when they lost a couple in the group and scraped through the semi-final.

Might have been an idea for one of the Pasage fellas to put in a tackle. If you had of tried that against them 30 years ago a few Gunners would have ended up in Ardkeen.

Looks fairly half hearted alright. And then the whole full back line runs out to tackle him and leaves him alone inside
