Pity we can’t say the same for referees*
I’d say all 4 teams will fancy their chances with crokes gone. na fianna are the best of then but they picked up another few injuries yesterday on top of missing Donal Burke which could leave them tight. Lucan have had a 6 week gap since their last game which is far from ideal. With Crummy back they will be very competitive but I’d fancy na fianna.
Boden are a real dads army at this stage. Most of their best lads are mid to late 30s. Id fancy Vincent’s with the mcbrides back and golroy in charge to beat them.

Munster will be brilliant this year. Ideally you’ll have Dingle, Barr’s, Clonmel, NCW, Cratloe and Nire. 6 very strong sides.
Munster also allow home clubs’ venues quite a lot which adds to spectacles.
Munster is the only province where Home Club advantage is allowed because there has never been an epic fist fight like that time Crossmaglen kicked the shit out of St. Galls at home or the time Shane Cake Curran had to escort the referee out of Kiltoom that time Corofin let themselves down massively back in 2011.
I was looking at the draw for Ulster there last week and was disappointed to see Tyrone (most likely Errigal) will be at home to Armagh (most likely Crossmaglen) in the Quarter Final. Healy Park just doesn’t do it for me personally (its a bit anaemic looking) and the Box It Athletic Grounds would have been optimum.
What we could get though would be a Semi Final between Errigal and Kilcoo at the Athletic Grounds which would be epic. Neutral Grounds come into Ulster at the semi final stage.
What has Naas ranked so high?
They’ll probably have a Kilmacud v St Joseph’s /Eire Óg/Shels/AGB and St Lomans v Tullamore double header in an empty Croker again rather than play them at provincial venues.
I’ve included AGB there as I fancy them to win the Wicklow SFC for the first time ever this season although they’d hardly take out two experienced teams in Leinster then. Castletown, Portlaoise, Blessington and maybe even Kilanerin could be in the mix too to play Kilmacud. The Carlow, Wicklow, Wexford and Laois Champions facing a mini league to play the winner of Dublin v Kildare.
The Leinster club semi finals in Croke park is completely ridiculous. Ruins the pitch also for more important games.
Naas are good although their form on the BOICMC is a concern
They are bunped up a few places helped by a few fallers yesterday in Dunloy and Kilmacud Crokes*.
Tullamore have never won a game in Leinster. They have now won 28 Offaly titles. It would seem it is more likely that the Meath champions will face St Lomans
I was thinking that myself too. Who’s still left in Meath? The likes of Ratoath or Simmonstown Gaels I suppose?
Ratoath v Summerhill in the final on Sunday. Neither will go far outside the county.
Think If Boden get to the final they’ll beat Crokes
Jacqui is a Portobello Camogie Alumni so I’m disappointed to see this
If i live to be 100 (which i wont) i dont think I’ll ever see anything as seedy in Croke Park again.
I wouldn’t insult a tinker like that. A tinker has some function.
Who?
Where?
County final weekend in Laois and as the astute observers here opined it’s Camross and Abbeyleix in the decider. It’s going to be a fine day in OMP and that should play into the newcomer Abbeyleixs hands. In the 74 years since they were in a decider Camross have gone and smoked their entire 26 titles, so it’s an interesting decider.
Abbeyleix are in the minor and Senior deciders and as astute men on here also opined, they are coming like a fucking train. With Enda Rowland they have the best goalie in the country and a machine from long range frees. The Byrnes are the danger men up front and will do damage. Camross will rely strongly on Mossy Keyes and in him they have the player of the year in waiting.
I’m going with Abbeyleix to cause a shock, these young lads don’t fear Camross and I don’t think the day will phase them.
But then, Camross are Camross.
Trumera play Colt/Shanahoe in the Intermediate decider on Saturday. It’s an incredible achievement to be here at all given how they lost young Adam Kirwan tragically earlier this year. They’ll lean a lot on young Paddy Hosey and aul Joey Coogan who must be about 45 at this stage. Colt Shanahoe may or may not have James Keyes back and really it all depends on that for them. Be lovely to see Trumera win it but I think they’ll come up short.
Portlaoise take on Rathdowney Errill in the long held up Premier Intermediate semi final. I expect Portlaoise to smoke the second team from the border, to set up a final with Ballyfin.
