2023 Club Championships

Yep one semi over and one to go.

Your thinking Frank Fox. I’m thinking bigger.

You wouldn’t pick O’Connor out at all.

Don’t think the winner of that semi will be in the Andy reckoning

Ballylinan 1-14 Mullinavat 0-7

Leinster Club IFC Rd 1

Ballylinan have advanced to a Leinster Club Intermediate Quarter Final against the Wicklow Intermediate champions with 10 points to spare. Captain Garry Walsh kicked nine points to secure their progression.

Psycho

They should have a good chance against Barndarrig who’ll probably be embarking on a wild session this week.

Sounds like an absolute cracker between St. Joseph’s and Eire Óg tonight. They’ll have Dr. Cullen torn up for the Kildare SFC final tomorrow afternoon.

An added bonus so

Joes have tied up, very tied legs after county final last week. Gone to ET. Shite penalty

They’re 4 points up again now. Penalty Eire Óg.

Eire Óg storm back to win it 2-18 to 3-13 St Jospehs after extra-time. You can’t bate tradition.

Joes absolute bolloxed there at the end but interesting to see the referee overrule his u life to give Eire Óg the go ahead point at the death.

Ah keeper

The former full forward who went in goal when the manager was sacked and the keeper who got injured became manager. Trumeras numbers are very wake, they’d only have a handful of subs

Mullinavat is in Wicklow now? WTF?

Is it not?

Incidentally Gary’s Insta was #LIT last night

Mullinavat are the Kilkenny senior football champions. Whoever wrote that article must have been at the funny stuff.

I’d say they figured there couldn’t be a football team in Kilkenny and just presumed it was Wicklow

Who would be Ballygunnar’s main rivals on the BOI Challenge Match circuit these days @peddlerscross?

I’d imagine prep for a few third level teams for the season would be stepping up in the next few weeks and would be one option? Dishing out hammerings to fellow clay court season specialists from Wexford and Carlow would hardly be ideal prep.

Very poor journalism from Laois Today.

I’d say there is a mixture of poor journalism there and poor comprehension from the reader. I don’t think that quoted bit says Mullinavat are from Wicklow, just that Ballylinan play the Wicklow champions next.
