Limerick died with their boots on. They did well to be within 2 points of Cork at the finish. I wonder will they be able to regroup to win another one. Plenty of wear and tear and older legs showing now.
History will probably be kind enough to that Limerick team. They’ll be ranked high enough in the pantheon of all time great teams behind the Cody 4 in a row winning team that won 8 in 10 seasons.

Fair play to the Corks. Brought it for the full 70.
We had too many wides but they went out on their shields. An incredible run from an incredible team.

What a game. Both teams full of class & character. Unreal good stuff, with some misses/errors only adding to the drama & tension. I thought Cork were struggling to stem the Limerick tide late on but those couple of wides were pivotal. Cork were finally able to stop Limerick’s momentum with a free & then a lineball. Brian Hayes was outstanding, as were many others. Some display by Gillane in defeat, Darragh Fitzgibbon excellent too & Collins in goal really standing up.

Well done to all the Cork men on here @gilgamboa you will have a savage few weeks giving the big un and sure it is well earned. Can’t complain when the same team beats you twice. Was a mighty game for a finish.
Sadness as opposed to devastation after that, think we could see a few departures now and depending on who those are, a few years in the wilderness even.
Clare vs Cork is a great boost for hurling in general as a final, wide open as well.

That was a great game, at no stage did I ever think we were gonna win it despite how well they obviously played, playing against the greatest team of all time who can score 1-5 in 4 minutes you can’t rest
It’s hard to believe,
There was a moment when Collins made a great save and Dalton scored a massive point that I dared to believe briefly
They all played well, great team performance, Harnedy, Fitzgibbon, Timmy, the Downeys, Hayes etc etc, all brilliant 
Limerick players and supporters gracious in defeat,
