That’s a great photo. The ball thrun to WOD and all.
At the start of the second half, Tim hit WOD an almighty clatter in the throw in. O’Donoghue, to his credit, tried to run it off for a while but it looked quite sore.
He had to stomach it. He’s doled it plenty.
You’d know Marty is a keen observer of the game because he notices the “shortened grip”.
Apparently, because it was saved, the experts are out in force.
They had to use one arm. They couldn’t have reached across that far to the limerick side with two hands on the hurl.
SOD went into a throw in on Saturday with his hurley held in his right hand, about midway down the hurley, and he had it held out to his right side and almost behind his body for balance. All his effort and weight was put into pushing across the kk played with his left arm. It was so odd looking and everything that a throw in isn’t meant to be.
You’re very thin skinned ![]()
Not sure what I ever did to you to be honest ![]()
Iv enough bad memories of 2013 to take anything for granted…this is a Clare team with plenty experience and plenty brilliant performances against Limerick over the last few years. Should be a great game between two teams who are in bonus territory now
Nothing but a win will do ye now. Rebels expect!
Without checking, can anyone guess who is the highest scoring player from play in the 2024 championship from the two remaining teams?
Somewhat surprised by the answer! Only Conor McDonald had more scored from play in the championship this season.
Tony Kelly?
No, sure he has missed half the Championship.
Connolly?
Nope
I went checking there (only his scores so I don’t know the answer) and he has actually accumulated a nice bit.
But they were fine the last few years. What suggests that they won’t be fine now (albeit the odd personnel change)
A defeat for either would be a massive body blow
David Fitzgerald?
Fitzgibbon?
