They were heaving the weekend they opened (end April) and also very busy for the Rhythm and Roots Festival At the May Bank Holiday. That is sort of centred around Cleeres with their small theatre and you could hear the gigs from Brewery Corner beer garden. Since then I think theyâd be happy enough, passing by on Friday night there was a nice few and I was there about 11 on Saturday night and it was the smallest crowd Iâd seen there any weekend- maybe 30 or 40 people. They should do very well at the Cats Laugh weekend as Iâd imagine the crowd would be appreciative. I have a copy of their menu and am working my way through the beers ( probably be giving the Sink the Bismarck a miss unless I win the lottery though).
I know pal. Normally in late June Iâm at Glastonbury stuffing my face with Cornish Pasties all weekend

Best Hotel in Galway for a midweek getaway? What is the Pillo Hotel ( used to be the Marriott ) like? Cheers in advance.

Pillo is a cunt of a spot. Traffic blaring outside the window.
Is the a relationship you see yourself in long term?
KPs right, nothing wrong with the Pillo but location isnât the best. Try the G Hotel or the Haus Hotel if youâre romancing, or even the Meryick might have decent midweek deals. If not romancing try Garveys or Skeff and save your money for beer

You saying sex with @carryharry doesnât leave a lasting impression? o_O
Merchant hotel in Belfast - Art Deco rooms. Great place to bring a lady. Risqué photos on the walls.
They still serve breakfast. None of this buffet nonsense. Valet parking.
Cocktail bar is rubbish. Too old worldy for me
Across road is a little rum bar.
I would stray no further.

Youâre straying a good distance from Galway.
Have a look at the salthill hotel and the Galway bay hotels. Both have nice views of the bay and salthill hotel has a nice auld bar and there are a few good pubs within walking distance. Other than that the other lads recommendations are on the money.
Really depends on the weather though you show her the Sunday setting on Galway bay on clear day her knickers will be hitting the floor in short order. On the other hand if the rain is coming in horizontally she mightnât be as impressed.
Cheers lads.
Juryâs in the Spanish arch area isnât a bad option price and location wise.salthill hotel is a bit out of the way but its a lovely hotel.
Depends what you want really.jurys is beside everything
One for another timeâŠ
Stayed in Glenlo Abbey in Galway but didnât like it. G hotel is in an industrial park and a bit far out if aiming for a âcityâ break. I reckon the radisson ticks box in Galway.bit further out you could look at the twelve hotel near moycullen with jacuzzi in the funnymoon suite
Jesus the Glenlo is a shit holeâŠ
The Radisson is a great spot for a bit of howâs your father.
Actually, your right⊠this is the nicest hotel in Galway. I little out of the way from the city centre but would be well worth investigating as its a nice setting and a top class hotel.

This time of year Iâd give you about a one in ten chance of getting any then.

No idea what the accommodation is like but great location⊠has a dodgy enough cocktail/hen bar but you 2 minute walk from Quay street so that shouldnât bother you.
