Youā€™re obviously not an elite posterā€¦

Poor Billy finished in an ambulance apparently. He fell at half way and couldnā€™t get the hands out in time. Blood flowing out of his head

I hadnā€™t heard that but just texted one of the lads and said he may have broke an orbital bone. Shame for him to finish like that but may be a blessing in disguise.

Top, top running gents. Ye can always say ye ran wan now.

Seriously well done. I doubt you had any aspiration to run a marathon this time 3 years ago? Tough day out there but you got through it. Your progress has been unbelievable and donā€™t be disheartened.

Ah yeah, I did my first half less than a year ago after doing the 5km & 10km challenges on TFK in Spring 2021. Having a crack at a marathon only came on my radar after doing that first half. Iā€™ll have to chalk this down to experience & get back into it in 2 or 3 weeks. Maybe target a couple of the festive shorter races. But enough of me clogging the thread, I would like to hear more from the rest of you about your race and race day experience.

Massive kudos to @Bandage , @Mac , @Wexford1996, @Rintintin, @Locke and @backinatracksuit. Genuinely uplifting and inspiring stuff. I will use it as a catalyst to get back into running myself.

Seriously appreciate the fundraising efforts @Mac and @Bandage. ā‚¬4,200 raised and counting. For a small charirty like ours that is highly significant. I know ours is a bit of a niche cause but I can promise you that money goes a long way and an investment we will use carefully to create the most impact. Thanks to all who have contributed. :cambodia::man_running::heart::shamrock:

Well done all. Hearing back this evening that few folks I know whoā€™d be fit out had to go into ambulance around 20 mile mark. Absolutely goosed.
Great achievement and in decent time with niggles and injuries. Enjoy the pints of Becks tonight

Give yourself a bit longer would be my advice. Youā€™ve had a tough block and your body needs recovery
